The Buffalo Reflex, September 21, 1961
Villa N. Wilson, daughter of Jasper and Sultana Hildebrand Lemons, was born in Dallas county, Missouri on August 19, 1872 and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Oda, in Buffalo at the age of 89 years and 27 days.
 
On December 25, 1890 she was united in marriage to Thomas G. Wilson and to this union seven children were born, two of whom passed away in infancy.  Her husband preceded her in death on April 26, 1932.
 
Survivors include: Her children: Berta Hackler of Cassoday, Kansas, Oda Kahler of Buffalo, Mo, Elma Kahler and Manford Wilson of Long Lane, Mo; Burley Wilson of Branson, Mo; one sister, Mrs. Belle Davis of Tulare, California; nineteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
 
She professed her faith in Christ as a young woman and united with a Christian Church at an early age.  She spent her life time in the Windyville and the Cedar Ridge communities. 
 
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 17, 1961 at 2:00 p.m. in the Montgomery Chapel with Rev. Paul Dickey officiating.  Interment was in the Scrivener Cemetery under the direction of the Montgomery Funeral Home.  Pallbearers were Burl and Lowell Henson, Lowell Kahler, Clyde Lemons, Wallace Marley, Robert and Tommy Wilson.
