Hi everyone,
I'm researching my husbands paternal family.  His father, Lewis R. Speed was born 26 Dec 1923 in Vancouver WA, his father, SPEED, Ernest Parker was born 14 Apr 1883 in Kabol, MO; married: PRESTON, Mable Ann sometime about 1916 - no other info re this marriage; died january 1973 in Vancouver WA.
His father was SPEED, Henry. About the only things that I know of him is that he is buried with the Springfield Missouri Catholic Church. I'm thinking this is somewhere in the Kaboul area and that he had 3 children with an unknown wife... their names were Ernest Parker SPEED, Frank SPEED and Kate SPEED.

Ernest was with the Railroad as a chef (cook) on the Canadain Railroad and he met Mable, we believe, in or around whatever medical facility they had as she was a nurse that emigrated from England to Canada then to USA.

That's all of the information I've been able to gather on Ernest's line.  I am still working on tracing Mable through the Canadian Railroad's office in England.  We believe that she came over to Canada from England at direction from the England offices of the RR.

I could use help and/or direction on my search.  Travel at this time is not feasible.

Thanks a bunch!!
Jean SPEED (HORDON)
