Pluto Initiation

This is not your average New Year's party.

With Pluto crossing the Galactic Center as 2006 comes to a close, we're talking initiation into the heart of Creation, the heart of Love.

The conjunction is exact tonight at 26 degrees 55 minutes Sagittarius, and Pluto will transit over this point twice more next year, in July and October. The passage will be marked by massive upheaval of our thoughts and belief systems, the geophysical, geopolitical, economic and social structures of lives.

It's showtime.

History proves the movement of stars and planets in the heavens influences us here on Earth. Pluto's impact was emblazoned in our collective consciousness in 2001 with the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon right between two exact oppositions of Pluto and Saturn.

Now Pluto's dancing with the black hole in the middle of our galaxy. Black holes and Pluto are both known for the magnitude of their destructive force. They synthesize and transform energy, annihilating in order to create.

Yikes-ee, what will that look like? It's really anyone's guess. No one alive on the planet today has experienced this exact configuration because it only happens every 248 years. And, this is the only Pluto-Galactic Center conjunction to happen during the turning of the ages, as major planetary and cosmic cycles come to completion at roughly the same time, and new cycles begin.

Creativity and transformation

The creative/transformational potential of this transit is profound. The last passage of Pluto over the Galactic Center directly preceded the Industrial Revolution, when the mechanization of labor created a major shift in technological, socioeconomic and cultural conditions.

What might we experience this time around? With the conjunction in the late degrees of Sagittarius, this is a moment of apocalypse in the traditional sense: "What has been hidden will be revealed." What is no longer useful or true will be expunged, creating space for beliefs and systems centered in higher truth to take root. The cosmic doorway is open. Enter the revolution.

Exciting, right? This really is the opportunity of a lifetime . . . to know, to feel, to think with our hearts, to merge with Divine Essence via the Pluto-black hole initiation gateway. And, the reality is, our human forms may not find this the most comfortable of journeys. Growth is always on the leading edge, and that's where Pluto is taking us. Resistance is futile. Let go, let go, let go. Bliss awaits.

Ch-ch-ch-changes

The energy of death and destruction will be intense throughout this passage. The departure of souls from the Earth plane will accelerate, individually and en masse.

In additon to geophysical (Earth) changes, we're each experiencing this shift in a variety of ways on a personal level. You might feel a general sense of urgency, perhaps anxiety, depression, grief or even panic. Physical symptoms include nausea, racing heart, respiratory problems, dizzyness, lightheadedness, changes in sleep and eating patterns.

Feelings and emotions that have been "stuffed" for decades, even lifetimes, are surfacing for final clearing. You've probably already noticed people are beginning to pop as repressed emotion comes raging to the surface.

Holding on, trying to control situations and people will only aggravate the symptoms. Allow the intense energies to move through your body with lots of physical exercise and creative activities. Hike, walk and run on the Earth. Swim. Try yoga, t'ai chi, xi gong, drumming, chanting and sound healing. Learn to play. Avoid caffeine and other stimulants. Relax and sink into the changes with daily meditation and deep, conscious breathing. Journaling is especially helpful for emotional processing and mental clarity.

What's possible

Through this portal, we have unprecedented access to higher truth, cosmic wisdom. This is a chance to experience prime creative life/love force directly from the heart center of our galaxy, Vishnunabi, the Galactic Core.

As you make your way into the new solar year, take time to reflect on this passage and its meaning in your life. Recognize and release unhealthy patterns of thought, belief and behavior, especially addictions and codependency. Be willing to go alone into the Great Beyond. Allow the transformational energy to purify your heart, mind and body, so all levels of your being may merge with Cosmic Truth.

It's the first new moon of the new year. What will you create?

Realities are shifting, dissolving, reforming more rapidly with each passing day. At special alignments like the new and full moons, solstices, equinoxes, cross-quarters and eclipses, the opportunity to create a new reality is amplified. What will we create?

Today is the first new moon since the December Solstice. The Sun and Moon meet in the final degree of Capricorn to begin the first lunar cycle of the new year. Something important is coming to completion where 29 Capricorn falls in your chart, and something new is being seeded for manifestation. Capricorn calls us to create responsibly.

Venus, Neptune, Mercury and Chiron form a stellium in Aquarius, the sign of the next astrological age. Open to visions of a more humanitarian world. Contribute time and resources to causes that support a sustainable future.

Venus and Neptune are exactly aligned at this lunation. Celebrate spiritual love. Honor the divine feminine aspect of creation.

Dimension Shift: A Preview of 2007

Everything can change in the wink of an eye. That's the promise and potential of this new year.

In numerology, 2007 is a "9" year, a period of endings, completion and letting go. A nine-year cycle is coming to an end. We're ascending to a higher vibrational frequency.

Pluto's transit of the Galactic Center steals the show as the most significant astro event in 2007. We've been writing about it for over a year. Now it's here. Pluto the Transformer aligns with the center of our galaxy - the heart of creation, Vishnunabi in Vedic tradition, "God" to others - all year.

Through this portal, we will be unceremoniously stripped of thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve us in a new reality creation matrix. We will remember our mastery. We must first release what we think we know, then we can access higher dimensional frequencies that allow us to create as fully empowered, masterful beings.

Jupiter's year-long transit of his home sign of Sagittarius in 2007 stimulates hope, optimism and expansion. Sagittarius urges us to seek higher truth. Follow the Archer's arrow to the stars. Cosmic knowledge will be revealed.

The culmination and focal point of 2007 comes in December when Jupiter catches up to Pluto in late Sagittarius, very near the degree of the Galactic Center. The effects of our thoughts and actions at this time will reverberate throughout the cosmos. The signficance of this special moment of manifestation can't be overestimated. The potential is simply mindblowing. Mark December 11 on your calendar. Now.

Major planetary aspects and transits in 2007

Pluto conjunct the Galactic Center First exact conjunction December 28, 2006. Two more passes in 2007 - July 15 and October 26/27. Intense creativity, enhanced manifestation, extrasesensory awareness and access to other dimensions are just a few of the possibilities of this transit. The destruction of outdated ways of being seems a small price to pay . . .

March eclipse series Uranus conjuncts the Sun and opposes the Moon on the Total Lunar Eclipse on March 3. Pluto plays a significant role in the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Pisces on March 18. Layers upon layers of subconscious patterning can be released, to be replaced by new, higher frequency insights and thoughtforms.

Saturn trine Pluto Saturn in Leo trines Pluto in Sagittarius on August 6. This is a turning point in the same Saturn-Pluto cycle that shockingly changed our reality with the events of September 11, 2001. Back then, Saturn opposed Pluto three times (in 2001-2002). Saturn represents karma, structure and form. Pluto obliterates in order to create. This year's trine is a choice point. How will we as individuals, communities and nations respond under intense pressure to evolve, six years after 9/11? And is it a coincidence that we have a New Moon Solar Eclipse on September 11 this year?

Jupiter in Sagittarius Jupiter transits Sagittarius through December 18. The high point is his conjuntion with Pluto, just past the degree of the Galactic Center, on December 11. By now our inner and outer realities are so changed we wouldn't recognize them today. Jupiter and Sagittarius fill our hearts with optimism. Pluto fuels our creative process, infused with Divine Essence. This is truly a new day for humanity and the Earth.

Jupiter squares Uranus and trines Saturn three times each this year. Unexpected opportunities and breakthroughs are possible. Ride the wave of expansion as you create new forms in your life.

Saturn opposed Neptune Saturn and Neptune continue their opposition that began in August 2006. Saturn is regal in Leo and calls us to heart-centered leadership. Neptune in Aquarius keeps us focused on humanitarian ideals and the needs of the collective. Through June 2007, outdated forms are dissolved to make way for more evolved expressions. Leadership is transformed to better serve humanity.

Uranus in Pisces Uranus' transit of Pisces continues through 2011, accelerating innovations in "new science," social systems, the arts, energy medicine, alternative technologies and other new frontiers. In Pisces, Uranus catalyzes a mass spiritual awakening, the birthing of a new world consciousness. Uranus plays a major role in both the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on August 28, and in the New Moon Solar Eclipse on September 11. Sudden changes and innovations are on the horizon.

Mercury Retrograde Everything seems to slow down during Mercury's retrograde periods. This year the Messenger will be retrograde February 13-March 7; June 15-July 9; and October 11-November 1. These periods are perfect for retreat, re-evaluation and taking care of old business.

Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto change signs Three planetary heavyweights move from volatile fire signs into more stable Earth signs beginning in September. Saturn ends his two-year transit of Leo and enters Virgo on September 2. Jupiter travels from Sagittarius into Capricorn on December 18. And Pluto, fresh from his rendezvous with the Galactic Center, finally enters Capricorn in January 2008. This is a rather sobering and welcome finale to a highly charged, tumultuous cycle in 2006-2007. We have an opportunity now to ground the energies of all this upheaval and change, and manifest our path of service at a higher level, aligned with divine intent.

Pluto Power

What's the potential as this tiny little (now) sub-planet at the very fringes of our solar system aligns with the center of the Milky Way?

Despite his planetary status, Pluto, the Transformer, is integral to the evolutionary process in astrology. His first exact conjunction with the Galactic Center at 26 degrees 55 minutes Sagittarius happened December 28, 2006. Because of Pluto's retrograde motion, this galactic alignment continues through 2007. We're experiencing it full force now.

This transit only happens every 248 years, and it's never happened within the context of the Great Shift. How will it affect us individually and collectively? What can we expect?

In a sentence, reality as we know it will be shattered. A new reality is about to be born.

Pluto and the black hole at the center of our galaxy operate in the same way. They annihilate in order to create. This is raw, primal cosmic creation energy we're dealing with here. How will we manage ourselves as the Earth and humanity are exposed to it?

The destructive/creative force of Pluto combined with the Galactic Center will be profoundly transformational, both individually and collectively. This is a path of empowerment. A new planetary consciousness is being born. Aligning with the energies facilitates the Earth's and humanity's shift into a higher vibrational frequency. You might call it ascension. Enlightenment. Mastery.

To achieve this potential, our inner and outer worlds will shake, rattle 'n roll as we break free of limiting thoughtforms, conditioning, subconscious patterning and outdated beliefs. The divine intelligence of the cosmos will orchestrate this transformation. We are asked simply to let go and flow with the changes.

Pluto equals power. During this transit, we'll explore, individually and collectively: What is the nature of power, and how do we use it responsibly? We will face our deepest fears, embrace the shadow self, reunify darkness and light.

There will be growing pains as we shift into this new dimensional frequency. What can we expect? Death and destruction. Earth changes/extreme weather. Outburts of personal violence and military aggression. A focus on nuclear power. Economic upheaval. Personal crisis. Relationship quakes.

So what's the good news? What else is possible? Accelerated manifestation. Unbridled creativity. Infinite possibilities, opportunities and breakthroughs. Spontaneous clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, telepathy, healing and other gifts. Union with the Divine.

We can experience these intense energies in any number of ways. Disorientation and a sense of unsureness are common and perfectly normal considering that reality is shifting, disintegrating and reforming. You might feel super-charged, electrified, frenetic, out of control, "discombobulated." Most if not all of us will witness and experience upheaval, destruction, anger and aggression. You might also begin to experience spontaneous bliss as Divine Love beaming directly from the Galactic Core fills your heart and euphoria overcomes you.

How can we ease the transition and tap into the potential? The center is shifting, and it's important to tune in with it every day through meditation, being in nature, exercise, yoga, t'ai chi, dance and other grounding activities. Journaling can be helpful in sorting out your thoughts and feelings, and for downloading cosmic insights. Relax. Stay positive. Stay focused. Breathe. Create with intent. Honor the Earth and all beings.

Release what no longer serves, especially patterns of addiction, dependence and co-dependence. Create time for inner healing. Manifest from a position of strength.

With these energies, personal mastery is possible. Ride the wave!
