Yes, it is a very interesting topic. A lot of it resonates for me as well. If you think about it, the various astral 'heavens' & 'hells' are created by human thought energies. We HAVE the powers of creation.

 

There is Jesus, Buddha, plus all manner of Gods & goddness,christian angels,devils,etc at the focus levels 24 to 26. Interestingly, these are also astral creations, manifested by concentration of believers' thought energies over thousands of years. It doesn't seem to be related to whether those figures really existed once or not.

 

As a side-note, i can imagine how real these realities are to the locals there. My experience of  self-contained lucid realities (corresponds to focus levels 22 or 23 if i remembered correctly) can be virtually indisguishable from physical waking world.

 

Anyway, from what i understand, we will eventually complete the Earth school (physical & astral realms) and merge with our Higher self/Oversoul. From there on we 'wink-out' to higher densities for more adventures. Creating a physical galaxy school game is one of the things we can do at that stage then.

Consciously, as the personality I identify with in this dimension, I have not really had much astral experience. But I have read somewhere - was it the Celestial Prophecy? - that in the astral dimension our thoughts "manifest", and become real to that plane. So if you're conscious, you can think of a rose, and you have a rose - type of thing. So I guess that if you're not really conscious of being on the astral plane, you more or less automatically manifest your expectations. -Good luck to the suicide bombers! At least they won't spread their own negativity round the planet's aura immediately...

 

The person discussed in the book I read, had been wandering around creating landscapes and had enjoyed himself thoroughly, but in the end he got really bored. There was also some discussion about people on drugs who died under the influence - how they often never realised they had actually died - their 'trip' just continued on the other side, and their soul remained in a dazed -and possibly confused- state for a long time. The aforementioned teacher souls often had hard work convincing them that they were no longer incarnated and needed to move on...

 

In old times, when a person died, all mirrors were covered up. -And completely unrelated to that, I read about this guy who, when wandering out of his body - went looking for mirrors, because he could use them as portals for other dimensions. (In the beginning, when he was a newbie, he had once got "stuck" in a painting, even. He was suddenly in the landscape on the painting that hung in the room he was in.) So I guess that when they covered up mirrors when someone had departed, some wise person knew that the soul could become confused on its way "to the Light" and get lost in mirrors... That, I guess, would be if the person knew he or she was dying and then knew s/he was dead. I read somewhere else- and I've read this in two very different places from different people, that when you die, your soul has to hang about for a while, waiting for all the DNA to die. (Organ transplants are excepted, according to one source. If you donate a kidney, you don't have to hang around for the receiver to die too). I read somewhere else that the same is true for fairies. A tree fairy can't leave his/her tree untill the entire tree is dead. (So if you know of a suffering tree, the merciful thing to do is to cut it down and make sure the roots are dead, so the tree-spirit can move on and find a new tree to live in)

 

At the moment I hardly have time to meditate, and if I do I fall asleep pretty much at once. But when Blessed and future siblings are older, I'm really going to go off and explore properly!

But I read somewhere else that the kind of energy you work with when you OBE consciously, is best to work with after the menopause, when all the hormones in your body have calmed down. You're better grounded then, and there's less risk of using the kundalini energy wrong (and using kundalini energy the wrong way can make you mad. A friend of my dad's spent some years at a mental institution after messing up when using her kundalini energy)

 

 

 

As a sidenote, i would just like to mention that while learning astral travel,astrology,etc is fine.................meditation that involves the kunadalini or seriously altering the bio-energetics of the human body is best done with & under the guidance of a competent teacher.

Nanny Jay. How are your experiments coming along?

Thanks for asking Tongman.  I feel like my astral body cannot escape from my physical body.  I get just to the point of where I think I can project but nothing happens.  I have stopped working on that for a while and now I'm really working on concentration, meditation and visualization.  Even with all that, I have to say, I sleep better than I have ever slept in years!  I'll go back to the task of astral projection when I feel comfortable with the other 3 things and that I have mastered them all.

I know it can be frustrating. Learning something from a book isn't the same as participating in a David St Clair seminar! I feel you acheive your skill of concentration, meditation and visualization from the astral projection exercise itself. Takes persitence though. Keep us posted.

Patience & presistence are very important virtues.

 

I know this may sound paradoxcial, but astral travel is not exactly a walk in the park. Nor as hard as it sounds.

 

Try to think of it more as a continum of progression. The more you practice the better you get.

 

It's a marathon,not a 100m race. Keep it going steady!
