Well, I guess today is as good a time as any to start this.  I didn't get much sleep last night because we had a dog in labor.  As it turned out, she was having a miscarriage that threw her into labor.  Poor thing is so confused.  My daughter was beside herself over it.  She really wanted one of those puppies.

I've done really good on my eating today.  I've only eaten 1,324 cals, 58 grams of fat, 85 grams of carbs, and 13 grams of fiber.  Not sure how that all balances out yet.  I'm keeping track of it with FitDay.

I had a point today where I was feeling dizzy and weak, felt like a low blood sugar moment, so i tested and it was 103.  Not really low, but perhaps it's a low for me for now given how high my blood sugar was whenI started out on this roller coaster ride.

Tomorrow is another day.

Anna I'm so sorry to hear about your Dog and the loss of the puppies.

Yes if your body is use too high number than 103 your body will react as if you were having a low.Don't give up , keep up the good fight ..to get those sugars under good control.Tomorrow will be a better day.

Anna, I too, am so sorry to hear about your puppies. That's sad.
If your sugars were really high, then that 103 probably did feel like a low. I had horrible control (not getting enough insulin, had to really get on my doc)...about 7 months ago (and for that year prior) so when I started getting good control, numbers like yours did feel like lows...but I knew they were good numbers, so I'd eat just 3-4 grapes or something like that...just to make myself feel better (I hate that feeling when your low)...till my body adjusted to the new good numbers.
Tomorrow IS another day...and it'll get better I promise...and the good numbers will "feel" good too!!!
Good Luck to you, Marcia

Anna:  So sorry about the puppies. How did the mother dog handle it?

You are one step ahead of me. I don't count carbs or anything like that.  I have the gastroparesis complication so i just eat what I can and sort of hope for the best.
Never heard of FitDay...And yes, if your body is used to higher bg numbers a 103 could make you feel that way.  I do the same thing at the 75 mark.
Here's praying that the numbers stay good for you.

It's been rough trying to get to this thing on a daily basis.  So much running around to do with my daughter to get her set up and on her own so I can have my life back.  Then there is the heating water and carrying buckets back and forth.  Good exercise, but time consuming and exhausting.  Hopefully we will be able to get the gas back on next week.  The dog is getting  back to her old self.  She's eating again and running around and playing.  I was worried she was gonna starve herself to death.  Poor thing is still looking for her puppies though.

It's PMS week here and I am really tired so I'm gonna go for now.

Well,

Been off with my eating today and yesterday. Just simply can't seem to get enough to eat. And the choices that we have in the house aren't too good either. Hopefully that will get better.

Got me an exercycle today. won't be able to use it til daughter moves out so I have a place to put it. For now it's in the shed. Started using my pedometer again. Walking with hubby. Only put on about 1200 steps today, that's not even a half a mile I don't think.

Well, in regards to my concerned post on the general board today, I'm still feeling like I could go into a spin at any moment. I walked around all day with my cell phone in my pocket just in case I needed emergency help.

I have been plagued with horrid sinus headaches for quite a few years now. I'm going to try an extra cup of cinnamon tea tonight and break down and take a sinus pill. I try not to take them because they have a tendency to dry me out.

I was too afraid to try to drive myself anywhere and we couldn't go anywhere until the gas company got here to turn our gas back on...finally. No more lugging buckets of hot water for me.

If I'm not feeling any better in the morning I'm going to call the nurse hotline for my insurance company and see what they recommend.

Anna
