I've had type 2 diabetes now for around 4-5 years.  It took quitting smoking and gaining 15 pounds to find out!  Course I started smoking again (after a 10 month quit!  What was I thinking??).  Now I've quit smoking again and regained my 15 lbs, that took a year to get rid of, and my blood sugars are crazy  It's been 79 days since I quit and now starting to wonder if I should smoke and take my chances???  Sure am getting tired of up and down bs---I'm going to keep working on it and maybe, hahaha, after I get used to not smoking, I'll lose weight and get back on track.  Hope to add to this journal pretty often, especially now that I can get on MSN---LOL

Went to dr. yesterday, after taking blood tests in Sept!!  Anyway started on Zocor for high colestral (sp), sure hope it works.  Doc finally gave me a Micardis card, suppose to only cost $20 or less each time I buy it.  That'll be a change from $75!!  Of course I only buy it every other month because I cut them in half.  My blood sugars are still all over the place, maybe one day that'll change for the better I hope (LOL)..gota different computer so had to wait for email from MSN before I could come back, getting older sucks!
