Jacki3- LOL! Thats how my neighbors spoke of me over the last few years. We had such a huge garden and to much veggies for us that we gave it away. I had one old guy steal my cantaloup but we never said anything, felt sorry for him. |

No gardening for me, but my DH wants to plant a garden and have a greenhouse. I told him that is fine with me but he will have to care for it as I don't have the time or energy to garden. |

I always put out a few tomato plants (and usually a jalapeno plant or two). A few years ago I bought some tomatillo plants to put out....they were the prettiest plants. Never got any tomatillos off of them but am thinking about getting some more this year for ornamentation. adair |

Anyone doing a garden? We were at my SIL's this weekend and she has a huge garden. It was so nice to eat homegrown veggies. She made 3 dishes with cucumbers! We had corn cobb, radishes, tomatoes, melons, greenbeans from her garden. I was in veggie heaven!! I love veggies! |

We had intended to just plant tomatoes and jalepenos.......but the boys decided to work the garden with us....and we ended up planting not only the tomatoes and jalepenos....but also bell peppers.....string beans......cucumbers.......zucchini....and watermelon. We've never had real good luck with watermelon....but what the heck....can't hurt to try.......goodness knows we eat enough of them (usually 1 whole one a day between us.) |

Gosh we have had so much rain this year I still only have half my garden in..I have potatoes, onions garlic...lettus..carrots..peas...and I put in a strawberry patch but the damn porcupine came along and ate all the yummy shoots..Im still hoping to get some tomatoes in...and I have three watermellon that want planting...I also have a little herb garden with green onions, chives, sage and oregano and a pot with mint growing and a pot with lemon balm growing...but the weeds are getting away on me because of all the rain...and a bit of laziness on my part...Oh and then there is the beloved rhubarb patch..How could i forget... |

Your gardens sound wonderful! I can';t wait till we relocate so I can have one next season. I want a big one planting most of the things I have to buy anyway. I want to try grapes also. I don't knoiw if that will be difficult or not to get a decent vine going. |
