Hi Lucy ... I joined the group same day as you. It really is wonderful to make new friends. I saw your pics, you and yours look very happy together. I've beat your nine yr. living arrangement though -- Jim and I have been playing house for twenty yrs. now. I ask him to marry me so when he passes (he's nine yrs. older than me) I'd get his SS. Am I bad or what ... I've lived my whole life in OH, I'm a creature of habit. I hope to share many thoughts with you and the rest of the Divas ... Karen |

Yes, it was a vacation,34yrs. ago. It was a great place to raise children. Yes, I married a PR man, but meet him in New York. Yes, I went back many times to visit. Three of my children were born in PR and one in New York on a visit. The grandchildren with me are from two of my kids. I'm fluent with both of the languages. |

Angelbear, it is wonderful here is warm all the time. Beautiful beaches, lovely places to visit and the food oh so good. I like it because I can go to sleep in peace at night something I couldn't do in New York. I'm not saying that is all so save because there are bad people every where you go but at least where I live is peaceful. |

Hi Karen, Well Thank you we are very happy, I mean we have our ups and downs, but we do love each other very much. I.m way older then him, but thats not an problem thats the reason I didn't want to marry him but, he says he can not see himself with no one else so we got married. And he is the greatest granpapa to my granchildren sometimes I think they love him more than they love me LOL. Karen you are not bad, I mean twenty Yrs!!!!!! you deserve the SS, my freind. well, is nice to meet new friends....... |

Lucy ... it's not the age thing that hurts relationships anyway, in my opinion its not being able to communicate with each other. Jim and I are both devorcee's from twenty year marriages, so we figured our loving each other was enough of a committment. I'm sure not everyone would agree with that but it's what works for us ... Jim had five children with his X and I had two daughters with mine. Between us we have 13 grand's and 2 and 1/2 greats. Holidays are way cool for us, it's like a three ring circus -- temper tandrums and wrapping paper. |
