awake if no pain.... So I would know what was going on............. |

I have a habit of waking up during surgery and talking to the Dr. who always says "give her more" and knocks me out. I have asked and begged to be kept awake to watch, after all its my body but they said they are not allowed to do it. I find it all facinating. |

I'm with cc... knock me out! I was supposedly awake during cataract surgery, but have no memory of it. |

For my DBS surgery I had to be awake for the majority of it so that I could respond to the neurosurgeons questions. For any other surgery I do not want to be awake I do not think. adair |
