Has anyone read the nutritional value on the backs of bread bags to recommend one? I am looking for a lo cal very healthy bread that tastes wonderful! LOL!! |

I love whole grain breads... and I think Nature's Own brand is very good both in taste and in calories. |

Wonder makes lite variety of it's breads 40 calories per slice. I use the Italian and the wheat. It's probably not as good as the bread Babs suggested but I can get it at the bread store for a dollar a loaf and the calories are exactly right! LOL I am going to check out the Nature's Own Brand! |

Weight watchers has some low bread stuff. I like the grain breads. Not into plain white bread. bonnie |

That is a good idea, CC. A corn tortilla is 30 to 70 calories. Flour is a bit more at 50 on up. I have made sandwiches , including hamburgers, using just lettuce as the wrap. I also make sandwiches open face. |

The nature's own bread I like is only about 50 calories a slice... they also have an even lighter version that is 40... These products have no preservatives and are all natural... |

Thanks ladies! I will check these both out. I don't eat alot of bread but do have it sometimes. Its the rolls that ya have to hide from me. LOL! |

Bread is my down fall. Thick crusty sour dough , with sweet butter. mmmmm Almost any but the fluffy white of childhood. |
