A very effective way to clean your coffee maker is with denture tablets. Simply drop two tablets in the tank and fill it with water. Run the coffeemaker. Discard the pot full of water and follow up with two rinse cycles of clean water.

 

 

Create a home-made, flexible ice pack with rubbing alcohol. Mix 1 part rubbing alcohol with 3 parts water in a self-closing bag. Set in your freezer, and soon you'll have a slushy, comfortable ice pack.

 

 

Here's a quick fix for a carpet stain... First, blot up the unfortunate spill, then pat it with a wet sponge. Squirt shaving cream on the spot (yes, shaving cream) and wipe clean with a damp sponge. The stain is gone!
