Hello, i know i have already opened this topic but i cant find it so I’ll continue posting here if its ok.

i have been doing a training exercise which is through my sleep. This dream paralysis i became aware of not too long ago, has opened my conscious during my sleep gradually. My memory of the past dreams, even some of the most plane images come to my mind during the day.

they say that you can astro travel through the sleep, and become aware of your own dream paralysis; by letting your mind flow, avoiding fear of "death" (sometimes i can think im going to die), doing this, you can separate your soul from your body.

Anyways i just wanted to open this topic, because i would really like to hear of your experiences, if you’ve had any.

I’ve been doing progress during the last 2 months, and the last time i tried it i thought i was going to have a convulsion; the blood flow accelerates to a point that if you concentrate on any part of your body you might feel or stop feeling your legs for example. This energy passes through my legs and my arms and at the end all the blood accumulates in my head. During this moment it usually feels like the climax of the whole process, and sometimes i feel scared, mostly from my involuntary instinct to levitate or get the feeling of it for a few seconds.

I hope I am in the right path?lt;o:p>

When I was a young girl, first married, and read the book (first one on Astral Travel and how to do it) by this man,
"Journeys out of the Body", I don't recall anything you mention occurring, physically.

I think the mental however, has everything to do with how you will approach this subject, and experience it.,meaning that the fear you have, is therefore, subconsciously affecting your autonomic nervous system which in return supplies the blood rushing to various parts of the body.

What do you fear, is the first question you need to ask yourself.

Fear of the unknown? IF so, then perhaps you should wait until such things like this happen naturally and of their own accord.,and not try to force it.

Why do you force it anyway?.........IF just for entertainment value, it may not be the best path to follow, IMO.

IF you are successful in this approach, you may end up in realms, dimensions of mind, that you can then entertain yourself, with; but what good is this for the soul's value??

This is how I see it anyway.

For my husband, he use to do this nightly, but, wasn't trying to separate, (the mind from the body) purposefully, it just happened to him "naturally", ever since he was a small child.

Therefore when we married, and this started up again, (moaning in his sleep, as the separation started to take place), that is when I bought the book mentioned above.

We then had a name for what was happening to him, (Astral Travel)
or OOBE (out of body experience, they call it today)
But, he decided wisely I think to just let it occur of it's OWN device.....and occassionally, he just dreams of being out of body, Lucidly etc.

To each their own however, as I too did try, so I can't admonish anyone for doing so, as it's intriguing anyway.
But now I have no interest in trying it anymore, feeling that it's best to let the soul take over, and not my conscious mind.

The conscious mind is here on this level of awareness for a reason, and not to runaway from the pain, hardship and upsets we feel each day, by developing techiniques, (whether drugs, peyote, mushrooms, etc.), to escape from this level.

I think faith and developing faith makes much more sense.

But that's just my opinion.

Deb.

I'll post the book because now it's free online, in a PDF format next.
You might find it interesting with his proven techniques if you still want to try and do this.

hi kchango

I have experienced it once, but only once.Tbh I get pretty worried when the onset of it starts and I usually try and snap myself out of it! sounds a bit silly but I have a slight irrational fear with it. :S

hi flashboard, thanks for posting..

from what I have experienced its nothing close to rational, it doesn’t feel as if my body is doing it by itself, of course you can help the process by just "letting go", but after a couple of minutes when it begins to flow rapidly up and down your body; it almost feels like an outer force and that’s when I become fearful.

It’s been like a week and a half, that I has not happened.

It’s strange, the first time it happened I was going through a deep emotional problem.

it seems to occur mostly when my body is passing through great excitement or great depressions.

Ralph use to do the same, try to "snap himself out of it", in that he would not be able to move his rather paralyzed body, (the body is sound asleep when this happens), called by some "sleep paralysis", but the mind (the Brain?) is wide awake>.......

therefore fear ensues, as is natural for all of us, as part of the "fight or flight " animal kingdom. It's a natural reaction, (autonomic nervous system) to not want to die.,and we fear due to feeling, we will die if we don't wake up the rest of the body.

Fear will pass..........with effort and patience and trying. It did for Ralph, but he didn't try consciously anymore, it just happened of it's own accord.

But I was told that "Fear" stands in the way for most people, and so one needs to have faith and not fear that they will die or not come back to the body.

There is nothing to fear but fear itself.

It's part of what we are as human beings, the spiritual body, the astral body, and the physical body.

We are simply separated one from the other, by our own mindset.

No one dies or doesn't come back, even if they are an athiest who has no belief in anything......or a scientist like Robert Monroe.

By persistent trying, he was able to go and come back successfully thosuands of times ......there is nothing to fear, but you will no doubt, meet your own thoughts, so if one is nasty, angry, bitter in their conscious life, they will meet up with, nasty, angry & bitter events (there) as well.

We create it all.

Here is from our psychic writings back in 1975 when this question came up:

QUESTION:

What is the problem that Ralph cannot seem to succeed in astral travel attempts? Is he stuck or soul rather? Can we remedy this situation, perhaps with certain food or maybe sleeping in a different position?

ANSWER:

It is hard for you now, you have the cure, at last you spoke to her. Understand? You will lose the fear, progress is slow and must be. Be patient, proceed, and will find. I am not trying to confuse, but there are things you must learn for yourselves.

I think when it happened to me I was actually quite ill, also was quite physically tired on top of being sleepy so I was probably less likely to fight any feeling of losing control.
I think that could be what stops me a lot of the time, having trust in something out of my control.

I have had the feeling of slipping away recently, when drifting off to sleep usually starts with a loud buzzing or crackling in my ears. Its interesting it began to happen one night when I had been thinking about lucid dreaming before sleep.

yes flashgord; i´ve had the same symptoms of the buzzing noise, ill be posting here my experiences, every time i do it i seem to get closer to something; little by little i feel that i am overcoming the fear like "ralph".

you should try and do so, im not necessarily forcing it, because i am not doing anything unnatural to my body, but i am guiding it to increase my chances.

ill see you on the top lol.. haha.

yea ha ha,
I kind of wish I can get past the fear, but then I do have this whole saturn thing in my chart where I'm far too cautious for my curious gemini mind.Hopefully I'll let myself experience it one day :)
