The new chat is up and running. You can stop by and check it out anytime. Our regs are bouncing back and forth between our MSN chat and the new one currently. We are trying to make the changover as easy as possible on our regs as possible. We reccomend that you do the same if you plan on setting up a room for your group as well. More info and the link can be found here. Please read first. We are in the process of debugging and testing. One thing we need to test is if the server can handle a large number of chatters. If not, I will need to make adjustments before D day. It would really suck if the system took a dump after Bill pulled the plug. I will be monitoring server load during this time. I can extrapolate what the max limit is from the numbers if we don't crash it Wednesday. You can help by piling in and getting others to pile in. No membership here or anywhere is required to get in. People can enter by simply typing in a nickname to use with no password. To the best of our knowledge the chat works on all operating systems and browsers. Only reported problems have involved Safari. Works on some and crashes on others. We are still investigating that.
Teddie and a few of the gang that have been assisting in the testing will be available for questions and answers. They will also demonstrate how to create both public and private rooms. I will be in and out through out the day. 10PM UTC is just a target time. Feel free to come in earlier or later.
