Here are a few things I would like to share with everyone.....

  1. GIVE STUBBORN KNOTS THE SLIP....Sprinkle shoelaces with talcum powder to untangle a tricky knot.  The powder works its way between the shoelace fibers, lubricating & loosening the locked up laces for easier untying..
  2. MAKE MARKERS LAST.... Get more use out of your kids' markers. When felt tips start to dry out, dip them in white vinegar for several seconds.  The liquid will be absorbed, making colors bright once again.
  3. FOG-PROOF BATHROOM MIRROR..... Want a clean & clear bathroom mirror after showering?  Squirt a small dab of shaving cream onto a paper towel, rub it over the glass, then wipe with a dry cloth.  The cream leaves an invisible film, making it difficult for water beads to stick & gives you a fog-free mirror for weeks.
  4. WHISK AWAY GREASE WITH SODA.... Empty one can of light colored soda, like 7up into a washing machine while it's filling, then toss in greasy clothes.  Add detergent & run thru a regular wash cycle.  The soda's citric acid breaks down oils so they wash out of fabrics & down the drain.
  5. "BLOT-OUT" HANGER BUMPS....Ever put on a shirt that screams"I'm just of the hanger!"? Don't bother ironing it. Just mist the marks with water from a spray bottle & press your hand over them a few times. The water spots dry in minutes,& your shirt will have that just pressed look....
