Hi everyone, hope all is well with all  I am so very sorry to have been gone so long!! I have had alot of grief also in my family. I lost my sister last January 26th to pancreatic cancer. It was a total shocker as she didn't even know that she had it. She went on vacation and got a really bad pain in her side and was rushed to the hospital where they diagnosed her with it and then 2 months later she was gone never had any signs at all and was feeling fine exercising and all so go figure!! My Mom is still hanging in there and it just amazes me that she is still here with me!!

 

I was in total shock when I saw that e-mail from you regarding Lawanda. Ever since she lost Charlie things just weren't the same for her and she really went down hill fast. I am truly going to miss her even though I haven't been in contact with her for a long time I always read all of the messages from the group on a daily basis. I was never up to writting anymore as so many things have happened in my life from the last time you all heard from me.

 

I still have ferrets 5 of them, 2 girls and 3 boys their names are Monster (a dew), Boogyman ( a silver), Shilo (a sable), LillyRose (I think a chocolate), and Shoshanna (Shoshanna meaning Rose in Hebrew) maybe a chocolate not sure though she is deaf and has the stripe down her head and nips as does LillyRose. I will post some pictures as soon as I down load them onto my computer.

 

So how are all of you? It seems like I have alot of catching up to do. Oh I now have a dog, an American Eskimo all white and looks almost like a samoyed (SP?) and such a sweetie  I adopted him about 2 years ago and his name is Teddy I will post some pictures of him also. He doesn't like the Ferrets though so I keep him away from them. Well I have to go and make dinner. I will be in touch again soon, and look for pictures posted of all my baby's.

Rose, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister.  I can't believe she never showed any signs.  That's unbelievable.  I wish there was a cure for cancer, both for humans and animals.  It's a terrible disease and doesn't age discriminate.  Your Mom just seems to plug along and hang in there.  That's great.  God bless her. 

 

Can't wait to see pics of your babies and that includes Teddy.  They all sound so adorable. 

 

I've lost a few people too.  My stepfather died in October.  My mother fell and we thought broke her hip.  Luckily she didn't but they did have to put in a couple pins.  She just turned 86 and is doing pretty good getting used to those pins in her hip.  The week I found out Lawanda had died, my aunt had a stroke.  She just turned 91.  A week after she had her stroke, she died.  That was last Friday.  When you start getting older, you never know what is going to happen.  The worst part of getting older is losing your parents and relatives.

I know it was such a shock to all of us especially my Mom. She is still crying for my sister. Pancreatic cancer is know as the silent killer. When she was diagnosed she was already in the 4th stage which of course is the last stage. The pain she got was the tumor bursting and it engulfed her liver and her adrenals. Every time she went for chemo her immune system was so broken down that they couldn't give her the treatment so they were unable to buy her any time at all. Just before that in December I also lost my cousin whom was my best friend  too asophegeal (SP?) cancer. It is one of the worse diseases any one could ever have human and animal alike! I am sorry to hear about your Aunt and stepfather. My Mom will be 86 in September and like I said I am amazed that she is still with us.

 

I will post pics as soon as I can it's time to go the sleepy as I am just about falling to sleep just writting this  I will talk to you tomorrow!!

Dawn, I haven't been much here myself during this past year,

I've had my hard times too !

 

My deepest sympathy for your sister ...

I'm so glad to know that your mother is still with you !!!

 

I just can't wait to see pics of your ferrets and of Teddy !!!

Are these all new ferrets ?  Sorry I think there's just the Boogyman I remember ... :(

 

You write when you have time or feel like it ... even it's short,

it's just great to know that you're still around  and still have ferrets too !!!  :)
