Faite amused herself by observing a squirrel run along side her while she was on her tour on her own. Her silver fur fluttered in the air in front of her as she suddenly halted. The chestnut brown squirrel ran on ahead, leaving Faite to herself. She stood, listening to the forest sounds and all it had to offer. The expression on her face looked as if she had seen a ghost, or rather something unusual that was not meant to be. Strange images flashed before her eyes as she raised a paw. She looked at her snow-white paw and concentrated on it, not knowing exactly what she was doing. Suddenly, her paw changed from white to black and back again.
She was then released from her trance like state and back to normal. She stood with her head lowered and panting hard. Her past has been haunting her for years but she couldn't quite remember. Everything seemed strange to her but she figured that if she would try not to think of it, it'd go away. Her theory hasn't been proved yet, but she still kept on trying.
She shook herself and her optimistic side came back to her. She turned around and stared in the direction of the den. Maybe a rest would calm her down. She trotted towards her new home in an attempt to be herself again, or acting as if she was. Her slow trot soon turned into a fast run. When she got to the den, she looked around. No one was in sight. She entered the den and found a spot deep inside. She curled up and tried to sleep, still shaking a bit.
She opened her eyes a few minutes later, realizing that it was impossible to sleep. She sighed to herself but didn't do anything else. She was a bit more relaxed now and thought she'd wait for everyone else to come. –the alpha would bring the newcomers- she thought.
