Rejoice
Welcome, hello! You're just in time to see me blow, see me go
find my way home, rest my bones, far below rests my soul
my only goal is just to show how much I know, how much I flow
and how I roll along the road, passing those who are my own, those
who are prone to hear me roar a weeping roar, they know the score
even before I hit the floor, or find the door; always right somehow for sure;
so secure that I will endure, live and die, ask for more, surely your boat has come ashore
I will enjoy yours and employ swords, employ lords
calling on my demon scores to come and clean, mop your floors
that are slick from blood and sweat, my friends have come to pay their debt
Or just find death, and so be sent...we shall have you, have you yet!
To serve us as our loyal pet, worry not about the rent, your should has paid yet again.
Life was given just for you, so you do what you must do, staying true
Chasing clues and ruining shoes, continually lose and drown in your brew
Kiss the grass' morning dew, take your cue and make do, through and through
Always you shine bright and true, white-hot flames show you came
Burning rain with intense pain as you lay at bay today...
And so you'll stay along their way, hurting flirting, whirling away
Twirling again, from friend to friend, like getting sent from now to then
So bow again, wonder how again, why again does your mind bend
And break, tied again to the stake they make for the fate you hate
But surely you made and surely paid, contemplated, so frustrated, so damned tainted
Since you fainted, in front of painted faces, places powers overrated!
Nothing is real or carved in stone, except my bones and all I own
Mine alone, but a heavy load lies upon my shoulders, more so now, as I grow older
Growing colder, never bolder, simply living as a soldier
Custom made to be played, controlled and surveyed for all my days
I remain amazed within the haze, within the blaze, seemingly dazed
Can’t seem to raise, powerless to move away, or try to say what I long to lay
Upon the table clear and plain, is there no escape from this awful pain? |
