Blood Kiss

I struggle with sleep on this hot and humid night. My naked body is moist from the nights air making my bed sheets cling against my body. I do not remember the last time I slept through the night without this fever. A fever that brings on endless dreams that swallow my unconsciousness. A fever that brings a madness of desire of a lover that walks from the shadows night after night. I lie here in my bed as this mad desire consumes me and burns deep within my soul. I close my eyes listening to the sounds of the night. Straining to hear it's music as I wait, yearning for you to appear. Why do you make me wait for you? Longing for your touch to free to free my soul. I bolt upright in my bed as a sudden gust of wind blows through my open window. Do you read my thoughts? My bare breast rise as I struggle with every breath I take in. I suddenly turn towards the french bay doors as they burst open sending them slamming against the wall. A mist appears moving slowly across the floor towards me. I am motionless on the bed unable to scream watching the mist mover closer and closer to me. A cool wind blankets my bare skin as I cover my expose skin with the bed sheet. I shiver as I feel as though someone is watching me. I turn my head back to the open doorway to see you standing in the shadows of the balcony. Your piercing blue eyes penetrates the very depths of my soul. You take a step forward and hesitates then begins to move slowly again toward me. Your eyes still looking deep into my emerald green eyes. Burning them for I am lost by your glance. My fears leaves me as you move closer to the bed. I can barely catch my breath seeing you before me, your beauty is far greater than my eyes have ever looked upon. Standing besides my bed you stop and look down at me smiling reading my thought again. Gently you sit down upon my bed looking deeper and deeper into my eyes as you reach out grabbing hold of the sheet that hides my nakedness. The sheet lands on the floor as you lean closer to me wrapping your arm around my waist pulling me closer to you. The heat of our bodies rises as we press harder to each other wrapping in each others arms. Your lips gently caress my shoulders as move you hand against the curve of my back. A moan escapes my lips as your hand moves gently around to caress my expose breast. Your lips move to my neck as you gently place kisses upon my soft flesh. You gently take the erect nipple between your finger squeezing it sending chills down my spin as you slide your other hand along my back down to my waist. You lips brush against my cheek as you move you lips over my waiting lips. You press your lips hard against mine bruising them with your passion. I feel your hand that was caressing my breast move down to the other side of my waist, as both your hands gently lift me pulling my hips forward as I lay down upon the bed. My legs open as you lower you body upon mine, your hard passionate kiss never releasing my lips as I feel your tongue slip pass my lips to explore the depths of my mouth. I in turn slip my tongue past your lips feeling something sharp within your mouth as I wrap my arms around your neck pulling you closer. The fever for you is burning me deep inside. Your body presses harder against mine as your lips brush against my neck sending warm tingles up my spine. You lean back slightly looking deep into my eyes as words escape your lips. "My love, my life, I love you dearly. Come join me and be with me for eternity." I looked deep into his blue eyes knowing my answer would be yes. I longed for this day to be his and only his forever and a day. I closed my eyes pulling him down close to me brushing my lips across his ear whispering. "Yes my dear, you need not ask me if I will join you from now till eternity." He whispers the words "I love you" again in my ear again sending shivers down my spine. My body begins to tremble more as you brush you lips across my cheek, then along my neck. I feel your lips kiss the tender flesh of my neck then I feel a sharp pain as your body presses down against mine. The pain mixes with pleasure as I feel your blood kiss. A moan escapes both our lips as you pull me even closer to you. I now know the price I must pay and do so freely. I feel my body begin to weaken as past memories flash before my eyes like pictures in a book. My head feels like lightheaded as I see memories of your past. Memories that bring terror to my minds eye of all the pain you suffered and the misery of loneliness. I become limp in your arms as the blood that sub stains this body is slowly drained from me into you. Then as I fade into eternal darkness I hear our hearts beat as one. The pounding of one heart that is weak as the pounding of the other heart is strong. Darkness surrounds me, only a small distance light appears in the distance beckoning me to come closer. The pull is so great that I walk towards the light, hearing familiar voices of loved ones that have passed on before me. I stop when I hear your voice from behind me drawing me back into the darkness. "Come my love drink and live forever." I feel my body being lifted moving deeper and deeper into the darkness as I hear the voices of my love ones plead for me to turn towards them, but your voices is the one I follow. Then I hear once again our hearts. One heart pounding stronger as the other heart begins to grow stronger. I realize there is something moist against my lips. This moistures is salty but yet sweet in taste as I feel compelled to drink. I slowly open my eyes to see that I am cradle in your arms, your wrist in my mouth as I draw your warm blood into me. I pull away revolted in the thought of what I was doing. Your quickly place your hand upon my head putting pressure against it as you move your lips back to my mouth. "Drink my love or you will die and if you die my life will be nothing without you." A small tear drops from my eye with those words as I put my lips back on your wrist, letting the warm blood flow into my mouth as savor it's taste. I feel my body become stronger, then as suddenly as this blood kiss began you tear you wrist from my mouth. "Enough." I looked up at you as I felt a sharp pain in me, in my heart and womb as if someone stabbed me. You cradled me in your arms, picking me up from my bed and laying me on the floor. This pain took the breath out of me. The world had just been reborn to me and now this agony of pain. A flood of sour human fluid came out of my body. I looked through blurred vision at you. "My dear the pain will pass soon. It is only the body dying as you become immortal." Then the pain was gone. I looked around me at the brilliance of the room with new found eyes. He cleaned all the filth from my body as I looked upon his body, his white body shimmering in the light of the moon. He wrapped my naked body in the bed sheet as he scooped me up into his arms. A mist slowly wrapping around us as I lean closer to him, laying my head upon your shoulder. "Now my love it is time to part from this human world to join the world of the undead." I held on tight as he carried me in his arms as if I had the weight of a feather, leaping from my bedroom balcony into the street below. I said goodbye to my human life as tears flowed from my eyes as the darkness surrounded us. I raised my head from his shoulder as he looks down our eyes locking together. A gentle smile appears upon his lips as his lips move to speak these words to me. "My love, my life, my heart, my soul, I'll love you for eternity." My eyes still locked with his as these words escaped from my lips, "My love, my live, my heart, my soul, I'll love you for eternity and beyond." Then the night's mist wraps around the lovers like a warm blanket. Their journeys together begins.
