One of the best Chocolate cakes .. yummy
Chocolate Sheet Cake
Bring to boil:
2 sticks margarine
1 c. water
3 Tbsp. cocoa
Have ready in a bowl:
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Pour hot margarine mixture over flour mixture and beat til smooth.
Add:
2 eggs
1/2 c buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
Beat until mixed well and pour in greased cookie sheet/jellyroll pan.
Bake at 350 for 30 min.
Frosting: (Start 10 min before cake is done)
Melt and bring to boil:
1 stick margarine
1 to 4 Tbsp. cocoa (depends on how chocolaty you want)
6 Tbsp. buttermilk
Add:
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
Spread over cake when you bring it from the oven.
A family favorite.
Option: Use 2 Tbsp cocoa and 1/2 c. peanut butter in the frosting instead of all cocoa. My family loves it this way.
