YamApple Bake

2 - 4 Apples (peeled and sliced)
1 13oz can Yams (drain) I use the canned....
or... 3 or 4 fresh sweet potatoes (peeled, sliced and cooked till tender)
Mix together:
1/3 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Toss the apples in the sugar mixture till covered.
Alternate layers of yams and apples in 9x13 pan (I spray with PamCookingSpray)
Dot with:
1/4 c. butter or margarine
Bake at 350 for 35 - 40 min.
Sprinkle with marshmallows or Dot with marshmallow creme..

I tried this for the first time last Thanksgiving and it was a hit!
