We had some snow last night but not much.  I sure hope Jackie is doing ok with the weather she is having.

Well, we got lucky yesterday, we had a thunder storm move in so it raised the temps above freezing for a while so some of our ice melted. But the hardest hit in the NW Arkansas area about an hour from me in the Fayetteville/Springdale area. Springdale got it the worst. There are still over 100,000 without power and they predict possibly 3 - 7 days for it all to be restored. There is still enough ice in my area that many businesses and schools are closed. They said that over 100 schools closed yesterday and today. Some of the out lying areas have it harder than the other towns because they don't have as many of the sanding trucks to clear the roads. One lady went outside yesterday to clear some tree limbs on her property and another limb about six inches thick with ice fell on her and injured her.

I hope everyone is doing okay.

Marion, I'm glad you had a good time on your cruise.
I hope you and John get better soon.
Jackie, I'm glad your power stayed on. It's no fun
being without. We were out for 4 or 5 days, can't remember
which, now. It wasn't fun. It was so bad, the ice knocked
down the power poles, which were steel, I believe.
Anyway, they weren't wood.

Morning/Afternoon
 
I feel 100% better today!
The migraine is over and the back
is much improved.  I have to play
catch-up today, I have no clean clothes!
 
The temp is above zero, yippee!
The entire month of Jan. has been
below freezing.  Poor furnace isn't
getting much of a break this year.
 
Jackie, I'm glad you didn't lose power.

Hey friends~
I've been fighting this chest
cold and I'm beginning to realize
I may be losing.  John is going to
work but feels pretty lousy but
at least his isn't in his chest yet.
Hope it doesn't get there.
