It's going on 5 am and the coffee is almost done.

I should be just waking up instead of still being up.

It was one of those nights when the brain just

won't disengage and runs faster than a train.

Family stuff..thinking back.
The back didn't want me laying
down too long, either. 

So...I've been walking around

in the dark, looking out the windows.

One dang deer stood in front and used it's

tongue to lick out of the little ports on my

big hanging feeder.  I watched him for awhile.

A cat slinked up the driveway, looking for

leftover crumbs from the crows.  It went into

the garage to check things out, back out front

to check under the feeders and then jumped

up on the birdbath and took a nice, long drink.

 

I am going to enjoy fresh coffee in the

solitude here, until someone wakes up.

 

Time for more circles, my back

Shy looks so cute, she certainly has grown!

 

The economy has us on on the edge, also.

Round 2 of lay-offs at Scott's workplace.

He remains one of only 4 in his dept.

Mindy's retail will soon be over, they

can't sell pictures to people with no money,

yet the company penalizes the managers for

it by terminating them.

 

I was able to rest a bit today, I

don't feel quite as washed out as this

morning.  The temperature got up to

43 wonderful degrees today!  With

bright, full sunshine!  I went and stood

on the sidewalk and just soaked it in. 

I was going to work on some of the ice

buildup on the walk, but didn't.  I told

Shirley she could do it, my back said no.
