How Do I Say Goodbye?

How do I say goodbye when you go away
How do I tell you how much I loved you
When you have always
Turned emotion away.

How do I say goodbye to the person that helped give me life
The one that raised me to an adult
The one that walked me down the aisle
For me to become a wife.

How do I say goodbye to the person that held my hand
And taught me to walk
Showed me right and wrong
Taught me how to talk.

How do I say goodbye to the gardener
That taught me all about plants,
The fisherman that showed me
The way to bait a hook and be a fisher ?wo-man.

How do I say goodbye to a mountain
That was always there when I needed strength
That blocked out the sun when it was too bright
Who's knowledge flowed as if from a fountain.

How do I say goodbye to my fire
When it is cold,
My breeze when it is hot,
My jack when I have a flat tire.

How do I say goodbye to my light
When it is dark
My protector when
I am shaking with fright.

How do I say goodbye?

With love that will out live the years of age
Having the knowledge
That you no longer suffer each minute of every day.
With strength that you taught me.
With tears flowing down my face.
I will remember the warmth
Of your Love filling my heart.
I will be able to say goodbye,
Knowing that my memories of you will forever be in my heart and mind.
I will be able to say goodbye with courage.
