When making tags, always leave the tube 'open'. Meaning never merge the layers together before you save it. It's a good tip for a couple of reasons.

One, because so many artists change their TOU, if you merged the layers, you'd have to go back and try and redo the entire tag, which in most cases is nearly impossible.  Even when following tutorials, always skip the part when it tells you to merge the layers. More than likely, you have several layers, tube-text-© info-background-effects..etc. You can easily go back to that tag at any time and switch out the tube, change the © information or whatever.

Another reason is, if you had merged your layers and realized afterwards you had made a mistake and already saved it, well you are pretty much screwed. lol

Also, you might want to duplicate and save an original layer of a background even if it's animated. If you've added sparkles for example and have the sparkles on the 3 layers, and a 4th without, you never know if you will need it for something else. This also saves time having to add the sparkles each time you do a request.
