Floors

To remove scuff marks:

1. Old clean toothbrush
 Non-gel (white) toothpaste
Scrub off the scuff mark and wipe clean with a damp cloth or sponge.

2. Petroleum Jelly or Baby Oil
Depending on the size of the scuff mark, put a little on the cloth and  work it into the floor to    remove mark.  Once it is gone be sure to go over the area with dry paper towels making sure that the    area is not longer slippery.

3. If you want to clean and shine your floor between waxings, mix ½ cup of liquid    fabric softener in 1 gallon of water, then mop the floor with the solution.  Your floor will get clean and keep its shine.

4. Non wax cleaning, mix 1 cup distilled vinegar into 1 gallon of water and mop floor.

5. Use gum erasers or pencil erasers to remove heel marks.

6. If scuff does not respond to the other solutions rub mark with nail polish remover and quickly wipe    clean with a damp cloth.

7. Dry clean your carpet by sprinkling liberally with baking soda and leave overnight than vacuum.
8. Stain removers for carpet.
   Club soda or seltzer water
Foam Shaving Cream ?(wait for it to dry then rinse with cold water)
   Vodka
   Fresh baby wipe.

9. Pet urine in a carpet or throw rug can be absorbed with table salt, then vacuum.

10.Anchoring throw rugs:
Sew non slip rubber rings from mason jars on the under side.  Use strong  cotton  thread doubled and attach it in 3 or four areas to the rug.  Bathtub decals and  double sided carpet tape.  You can also buy the jar grip opener pads and sew them on.

11.If you have flea problems with your carpeting or throw rugs, be sure to put a commercial flea collar or a few moth balls in your vacuum cleaner bag to kill the fleas as they will continue to live in your vacuum otherwise.
