A friend of mine had her ferret mauled by a dog recently
he has a broken femur and pelvis, he was paralysed and nearly died.
The vet has put pin in his leg but is will be a long slow recovery for the poor guy.
He has 8 weeks of cage/bed rest and he is very bored!

Im trying to think up things he can do safely in a small cage to entertain himself any ideas ?

Im thought of a crinkle sack but thought he might get too excited with that as he is not suppose to move around a lot ... so hard with a ferret lol

Maybe a small bucket and fill with scrunched up paper of different textures etc something he can dig out and inspect ... hmmm

Oh WOW poor babie, I hope she gets rid of the dog. If my dog ever goes after mine ferrets like that I will take her out and shot her myself if the old man don't do it. I will not have a mean dog around. I found dog this past summer and I made the mistack of bring her in oh no she went after my babies and I put her out side till the dog catcher came. I don't understand why people want a dog that goes after other people and animals. It's just not right. I hope this lit. babie will be ok, He is in my prayers. Love and God bless, Sheila

I was toying with the idea of how to mount the dog feet up to make a hammock....

but then, I realized I just hope all parties involved turn out all right.

more details... Chompers mum and her son had him in their garden for playtime something they do often! When the neighbours dog got in and snatched him, Chompers mum jumped the fence and went into the neighbours yard to save him and she said the dog was not impressed by her taking its "kill" and was out for blood.
  Grrrrr makes me mad
