How To Start A Picture Album And Post Pictures (with thanks to Vamp and Striped Bandits) On the menu to the left of the page, click on "pictures".  Then,    towards the top of the page, click on "Create a new album".  Then type in the name you want for your album.  Then in the description box, type in a description for your album.  You can then find your album in the pictures section.  Click on your album to open it and click on "add photos".  You will see a menu to the left of the page that looks like windows explorer.  You can go anywhere on your computer and select a picture that you want to upload.  When your picture is in the big window, click the small box at the top left of the picture.  When you have all the pictures clicked that you want uploaded, click "upload now" in the upper right hand corner.  It's that simple.  Your pictures are uploaded to your album.   How to put a picture in a post   Go to the "MessageBoard" and click the "new discussion" button or the reply button.  Look for the yellow square with what looks like two mountains in it.  If you hover your mouse over it, it says "insert picture".  Click it and wait a few seconds for it to open.  You will have a choice of going to any of your groups where you have pictures posted or you can click on "my computer".  If you want a picture stored on your hard drive, use "my computer".  You get the same windows explorer set up as above.  Find your picture, click on it, then upload. How to change your email settings   Many people like to receive the e-mails but some people do this by accident.  Some members join and have all messages sent to their inbox. If this was an oversight and you would like to avoid receiving an e-mail everytime someone posts, you can go to Members Tools at the bottom of the page on the left hand side, click on "check your e-mail settings", go to the section titled "messages" and "check on the web".  How to use the chat room  Once you are in the chat room and the chat server is connected, you have a few options you can use.  Toward the bottom of the page is "chat room options".  Go into your options and this where you can choose your font and font color.  You can also select other preferences here.  While chatting, if you need to go away for a short period of time, you can click on the coffee cup next to your name, and it will show you as being away.  When you return, you simply click on the cup again.  To express yourself using emoticons  In a chat room conversation, you can type certain characters in your messages that are converted to graphic images in the conversation pane. Uppercase or lowercase letters can be used.
