the most important things when ferret proofing your home is:
  1. high traffic areas - most likely wont be ferret proof especially when its none ferret people or children.
  2. if the gap is big enough for your ferrets head to fit through chances are likely that the rest of the ferret will follow.
  3. never leave your ferret unsupervised around other pets or small children.

The above are very obvious and I can add to it by saying...

Never NEVER think your home and your family are ferret proof
because your ferret WILL prove you wrong !!

Not to forget the dreaded open window ,  I posted this sometime ago after a terrible scare.

it has been that hot here that I opened a window I dont normally open and forgot about it.
By the time I realised I had left it open I found cuddles was through the screen and half way out!!
