Ferrets' average lifespans are between 6 - 10 years.
Average weight for a female is 1 to 3 lbs, and for a male 2 to 5 lbs.
Normal body temperature for a ferret is between 100 - 103 degrees.
Normal heart rate is 215 - 250 beats per minute.
Respiration is about 33 - 36 per minute.
Normal fasting glucose is between 65 - 164.
Ferrets are obligate carnivores, which means they require meat for a high protein, high fat, low fiber diet.
