The multiple tumors in his abdomen are still growing and, while he still gets around good and plays, I can tell he's beginning to experience some discomfort.  Any prayers, thoughts, etc. to go with what is already being done would be greatly appreciated.  He's my baby boy and I hate this is happening to such a sweet baby.  I feel so helpless.  Thank you for your kindness.

The past couple days he has played like he used to with me; bouncing, diving into my lap, laughing his breathy "heeheehee".  He jumped and played with a blanket I threw on him and Emmy.  He's been chasing Emmy and playing, and it's wonderful to see.  Thanks you so much.  He tires quickly, but any day he feels like playing like that is wonderful.

Something wondrous is happening; Diggit is regrowing fur!  The tumor is still there, bigger than a golf ball, but seems to have slowed way down or stopped in growth.  He plays, cuddles and wants scratched and cadges for treats as often as he can get away with.  I just hope he knows how much I love him and how much I love holding him when, after his soup, he scrubs his face with his paws.

Diggit is on Lasix now.  The tumors are taking up a lot of room and filling his abdomen with fluid, and, as a result, his lungs.  He's been having fits of asthmatic-like coughing spells, making it hard for him to catch his breath and scaring us both.  I would pick him up and pat his back to help him get air, and bless his heart, if I offered him a treat he would fight hard to get control so he could have it.  Since starting the Lasix, he's had no attacks and seems perkier.  He's definitely sleeping easier and more active when he's awake.  He has, however, learned to run from Florrie when she screams at him for being too close.  He'll come to me and stand up against my leg, waiting for me to pick him up for a good scratch and a long cuddle.  He's also spending more time in the lower level of the cage near the litterbox, because of the Lasix.  He still loves his food, treats, soup and cuddles, so the time's not here yet.  Until then, he can have all the attention and love he wants and then some.

My sweet, bright boy is fading.  I look into his eyes and see he's getting ready to go.  He comes to me and I pick him up; he sleeps in my arms while I scratch and pet him, telling him about the Bridge and how much fun he and Boink will have there.  My heart is breaking, but I love him too much to try to keep him any longer than he wants.  I just pray he has a peaceful, painless departure and knows how much I have treasured our time together and how much I love him.
