♥Rainbow Bridge ~ Angels?/FONT> Please add your Rainbow Bridge Kids to this memorial and leave a tribute to them on how they touched your life, we can light a candle for them on Ferret Remembrance Day 2nd December . Memorials Poems ♥Ferret's prayer "I'll lend you, for a little while, a ferret of mine," He said. "For you to love while she lives, and mourn when she is dead. It may be six or seven years, or maybe twenty-three, But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me? She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and shall her stay be brief, You'll have her lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise she will stay, as all from earth return, But there are lessons taught down there I want this ferret to learn. I've looked the whole world over in my search for teachers true, And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you. Now will you give her all your love, not think this labor vain, Nor hate me when I come to call, to take her back again." I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, thy will be done." For all the joy this ferret shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run. We'll shower her with tenderness and love while we may, And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay. And should the angels call for her much sooner than we planned, We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand." I do not claim to have written this, I have only changed Bird to Ferret. This ferret Prayer was adapted from Little Birds Prayer- Author Unknown. Let it bring some comfort to you as it did me - Furry_Angels ♥Beyond The Rainbow As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played, I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade. I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity. I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide! And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be! My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do. I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright. That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night. 'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold. For although we may not be together in the way we used to be, We are still connected by a cord no eye can see. So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart . If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart. cg - 1995 ?nbsp; I Am Not There Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan. -- Irving Townsend, in The Once Again Prince |
