Nicky is a cheecky buggar asked him why he drinks his pee and he said cause i do.

I feel he may be defiant in some thing to cause this action.you might check with a vet to make sure he is not hurting himself by doing it urine has a high saline content and salt is not good for ferrets .

Funny you should say that Shaman.  I call him a cheeky little monkey all the time!  If I call him when he's doing it, he won't even look at me.  That's the only time he doesn't come when I call him.  Is there a way I can find out what he's being defiant about?

I had him checked for insulinoma because I've been told that can be a reason for drinking pee.  He's in perfect health.  The vet said some ferrets just do it and it won't hurt him.
