Since one of my kids has Insulinoma I've really had to watch the sugar content that means no Ferretvite, yogies, or fruity treats. Ferretone is still safe and hands down the most popular. Since it is too concentrate for regular feeding I just cut it down with a bit of reg. veg. oil. Next on the treat list for her is "We Pity The Kitties" it's a chicken treat, made from human grade 100% chicken. No by-products. As the makers say if I wouldn't eat it why would I feed it to my pet (except I'm a veggie so I guess that doesn't count ) Also she loves Glucerna it's like Ensure and Boost the meal replacement supplements only this one is for diabetics so it's almost entirely sugar free. She only gets a bit of it, but it's good for when she just won't eat much, it's a treat, lactose free, and she gets her vitamins. I'm also gonna say Chicken BaBy Food, getting to be popular in my house. The kids all line up at the jar. They used to turn away, but now they try to stick their heads in to get more. Also good for when they are sick and can't eat solids. |

If you haven't started them on a duck soup yet, I recommend you get them started soon. It's good for them and could save their life in case of illness if they won't or can't eat their kibble. |

well since no treats are realy good for ferrets... They only get Ferratone when it's nail clipping time and Feline greenies once in a while if they were good for nail clipping |

So far on treats...
Princess loves the Bandits Chicken flavored, Ozzy isn't into treats, and Jazzy isn't into treats.
They have only been in our house a day, so there is a lot we have to learn about eachother. I dont believe they got a lot of treats before, so it may just be a learning experience for them. Last night at play time, they all got a couple drops of ferretone from a spoon, and they all seem to enjoy that. The family I got them from didn't feed ferretone, so I'm weaning them into everything slowly. |
