5 Cups Vanilla Ice Cream, slightly soften at room temperature for 15 minutes 1/4 Cup Crystallized Ginger Chips 3/4 tsp. Ground Cardamom 1/2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon 2 Bottles Ginger Beer
Add crystallized ginger chips, cardamom and cinnamon to softened ice cream. Stir quickly to swirl ingredients together. Place bowl in freezer until ice cream is firm enough to scoop, at least 1 1/2 hours. If storing up to 1 week, cover airtight. Scoop the ice cream equally into 4 glasses (each 16oz). Slowly fill glasses with cold ginger beer about 2 bottles.
No need to go to the ice cream parlor for a great tasting root beer float! This is one do-it-yourself treats that the entire family will want to help prepare. Prep Time: 10 minutes Refrigerate: 45 minutes
Makes 4 servings. Ingredients: 3/4 cup sugar 1 cup boiling water 1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick® Root Beer Concentrate 1 liter chilled soda water 1 pint vanilla ice cream
Directions: 1. Stir sugar and boiling water until sugar is dissolved. Add root beer concentrate; refrigerate until chilled. 2. When ready to serve, stir slowly soda water into root beer mixture. Place 2 scoops ice cream in each of 4 tall glasses. Slowly pour root beer between ice cream and side of glass. Serve immediately.
Spoon sherbet equally into 4 stemmed glasses. Top each with 1/2 cup sliced fruit. Just before serving, pour several tablespoons scuppernong grape juice over the top. Yield: 4 servings.
