Pizza bagels

3 bagels, sliced in half
spaghetti or pizza sauce
mozzarella cheese
pepperoni (optional)
ham chunks (optional)
pineapple chunks (optional)

Heat oven to 350. Spread sauce over bagel; top with remaining ingredients. Bake 8-10 minutes. These are fun for kids to make, too! Help them create faces or their own designs.

Variation: Combine 3 T butter and 1 t garlic salt. Spread over bagel first, then top with remaining ingredients.

Tacos in a Bag

Here is a great idea. I spend a lot of time at hockey rinks and one weekend there were kids and parents there fund raising. They were selling Taco's in a Bag. What they did was they took bags of regular tacos(the small ones- even better the ones that they sell for Halloween treats or if your fundraising you can get the small bags in cases from the retailer for cheap)with the foil on the inside. Before you open the bags slightly crush them into bite size pieces. Make sloppy joes and spoon into the bag over the chips while hot. Then offer an assortment of Cheese(put first so it can melt) tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, salsa sauce. They can put it any way they like right in the bag! Throw in a spoon and there you have it.....Tacos in a bag! I make this for my kids birthday parties and it really goes over good..no mess tacos! As a fundraiser....fantastic!!

Oreo Pops

A great idea for kids of any age.

Assemble an equal number of DOUBLE STUFF OREO COOKIES and POPSICLE or CARAMEL APPLE TYPE OF STICKS. Leaving the cookie whole - insert the stick into the side (into the white stuff).

Then melt your favorite chocolate coating (I use white chocolate). Holding onto the stick, dip each cookie into the chocolate until coated. Allow to set for a few seconds and then place upright into something that will hold it upright. (such as sytrofoam etc.)

When they have set up - melt a contrasting chocolate coating (for valentines day you could melt white and add red food coloring to it) Then place the chocolate into a baggie and snip one end off. Using a quick back and forth motion drizzle the red chocolate over the cookie. Once again allow to set up. You could add a second drizzle of different color if you like. These could be decorated any number of ways for the different holidays.

These are really fun and the kids love them.

Snicker Salad

8-10 Granny Smith Apples
1 bag snack size Snickers candy bars
12 oz. Cool Whip

Chop/Grate Snickers in the blender until fine, 3 or 4 at a time (don't worry if there are still a few chunks). Cut apples into bite size chunks (peeled or not, your choice). Fold apples and chopped Snickers into the Cool Whip. You can use a few more apples and 16 oz. of Cool Whip if you like to make a bit more. Serve the same day you make it so the apples stay crisp. They'll soften by the next day and seem rubbery. This can legally be called a salad since it has fruit in it, right? Anyway, the kids will love it... tastes like caramel apples.

Fish in a Pond

1/2 cup lowfat cream cheese or cheese spread

Fish-shaped crackers

4 celery ribs, stems removed

Scoop the cream cheese into a bowl. (You can tint the cream cheese with blue food coloring to make it look like a pond.)

Place the goldfish crackers in a separate bowl.

Let the kids dip the celery sticks into the cheese, then into the bowl of crackers to "catch" a fish.

Serves 2
