Hot Dog and Potato Chip Casserole
1 can cream style corn
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 c. onion, chopped
8 wieners
1 c. crushed potato chips
 
Mix corn, soup and onion. Cut wieners into 1/2 inch pieces and put in corn mixture. Pour into greased casserole dish and top with crushed chips. Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.

Ham and Pineapple Dinner

Cubed cooked ham sauteed with onions and pineapple in a sweet sauce.
Kids love it and it's great served over rice or noodles.
Yields: 4 servings

INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons butter
2 1/2 cups cooked and cubed ham
2 green onions, chopped
1 cup pineapple chunks, drained
1 1/3 cups pineapple juice
4 teaspoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 tablespoons cornstarch

DIRECTIONS
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Saute the ham, onions and pineapple chunks in the
butter for about 5 minutes.

In a separate medium bowl, combine the pineapple
juice, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard and cornstarch.
Stir this together well and pour over the ham mixture in
the skillet. Stir well and allow to heat through and
thicken, about 5 minutes.

Ham and Cheddar Roll-ups

(adult supervision for younger children)


Yield : Serves 4

1 package (4) refrigerated crescent rolls
prepared mustard
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup finely chopped fully cooked ham

Unroll crescent rolls. Tear along perforations. Place 4 triangles on an ungreased baking sheet. Spread lightly with mustard. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon cheese and 1 tablespoon cooked ham. Starting at large end, roll dough toward point. Fold ends in slightly to form "horns." Bake in a 375 degrees. oven for 11 to 13 minutes or till golden.

Betty’s Pork Chops (Kids)

6 Medium Thick Pork Chops

Salt and Pepper

1 Medium Onion

1 Medium Lemon

6 Tbsp. Brown Sugar

6 Tbsp. Chili Sauce

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Season the chops lightly on both sides with salt and pepper. Arrange the chops in a baking dish that has sides at least 1 ½ inches high. Using a sharp knife, peel off and discard the dry outer skin from the onion. Cut off both ends of the onion and discard. Cut the onion crosswise into 6 slices. On each pork chop, place the following ingredients in the order listed: 1 Onion Slice, 1 Lemon Slice, 1 Tbsp. Brown Sugar and 1 Tbsp. Chili Sauce. Cover the baking dish with heavy duty aluminum foil. Make sure that the foil covers do not touch the ingredients on top of the chops. Bake with the foil cover for 35 minutes. Remove the foil and return the chops to the oven uncovered for 35 minutes more. Using a spatula or large fork, lift the chops onto a large serving platter.

Kid Friendly Stuffed Hot Dogs

Ingredients:
1 package hot dogs
1 cup mashed potatoes
3 slices American cheese

Directions:

Boil hotdogs till done. Slice down the middle lengthwise, not all the
way through.

Spoon mashed potatoes into the hotdogs, and top with cheese. Melt in
microwave for 45 seconds or until cheese is melted and enjoy

This recipe for Stuffed Hot Dogs serves/makes 8

Beanie Weenie Casserole



1 can (28 oz.) baked beans, undrained

1 pkg. (16 oz.) hotdogs, sliced 1/4" thick

1 TB prepared yellow mustard

2/3 cup ketchup

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

2 TB cider vinegar

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 TB brown sugar

1/2 medium onion, finely diced

Shredded Chedddar cheese, for topping, optional



Pour beans in a baking pan or iron skillet. Slice hotdogs into 1/4" pieces

and add to beans.



Add remaining ingredients and stir well. Heat for about 30 minutes.



Servings: 4 to 6.

1 (8 ounce) tube refrigerated crescent rolls

8 breakfast sausages

1 squeeze bottle yellow mustard



Heat oven according to directions on the crescent-roll

package.



Prepare the sausages according to the directions on

the package. Remove from frying pan and allow to cool

for 10 to 15 minutes.



Separate the crescent-roll dough into its pre-cut

triangle pieces, and lay them flat on an ungreased

cookie sheet. Place one sausage on each, squeeze a

thin line of mustard on each. Roll and close all ends.

Bake according to package instructions.

Glorified Frankfurters

4 Ingredients

Serves 4

1 10-oz pkg. sharp cheddar cheese

8 frankfurters

8 tsps hamburger relish (Heinz)

8 strips bacon



Method:

1. Cut cheese into strips about half the width of the frankfurter.

2. with a sharp knife, make a slit in each frank, about 3/4th through.

3. Insert a strip of cheese in each slit.

Spread a teaspoon of hamburger relish on cheese.

4. Wrap each frank with a piece of bacon spirally.. Secure each end with a toothpick.



5. Lay frankfurters on cookie sheet, then broil about 6 inches from the flame until bacon is cooked and crisp.

Takes approximately 5 minutes on each side.

6. If assembled and refrigerated ahead of time, increase broiling time to 7 minutes on each side.

S'Mores

6 wieners
2 cups mashed potatoes (can be instant)
3 slices cheese, cut in half

Slice each wiener so it lays open and place on baking sheet. Place 3 tablespoons of mashed potatoes on each open wiener. Place half slice of cheese on potato mounds. Place in oven and bake at 275° for about 12 minutes.

Potato Doggies

8 Hot dogs
2 Cup Mashed potatoes
1/2 Teaspoon sweet paprika

Split hot dogs the long way not quite all the way through.

Fill split opening with mashed potatoes mixed with paprika. Sprinkle the top with paprika.

Bake in 375 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until heated through and slightly browned on top.

Can also be topped with some grated cheese (cheddar or parmesan).
