This worked for me:
 
*Check with your doctor to see if your thyroid is off as this will affect your metabolism, appetite and energy.
 
*Check with your doctor to see if you have sleep apnea as this will also affect the above.  Two of the symptoms of sleep apnea is snoring and waking up not feeling rested.

I've been on medication for an underactive thyroid since November, and I've noticed a lot of changes. I don't feel like an old lady any more. lol. My joints don't ache, my hair isn't falling out, I'm not tired all the time, and it's not so gal-darned difficult to lose a little poundage!
