THE MAKE OR BREAK A HABIT CHALLENGE

THE MAKE OR BREAK A HABIT CHALLENGE Habits take twenty-nine days to
take hold.... We challenge ourselves to make some new good habits.
Or break some bad ones. What habit do you have that is holding you
back from being successful on your plan?? How about a habit that is
keeping you from getting out and living your life. Big or small...
Bag habits were made to be broken...!!! Come on guys .... Are you
game for 29 days!!!!!

Exercise Your Age Challenge Info....

This is where you try to exercise your age in days....

For example:  If you are 30yrs old, you try to exercise 30
days in a row.  If you miss a day, then you are reborn and
starting over again at 1.  Once you reach your age...you can
continue to see how old you can get....or start all over.

Exercise and Water Check Info.....

You will see this post a couple times throughout
the board during the day.  Post up what you have done for
exercise, and how much water you have drank during the day to try
to keep ya focused and on track.

BACK TO BASICS....NEW BEGINNINGS CHALLENGE

We did this as a challenge..now I am going to leave it up incase anyone needs a NEW BEGINNING anytime !!!


We have our 5 star challenge going on, but some of us might need a
little less challanging a goal if we are just starting out or if we
have been losing sight of where we are going and need to refocus on
our goals.
Here's a challange we used awhile back that helped the newbies get
started and the strugglers get back on track!

It's called the Back to Basics Challange--Baby Steps or Advanced!!

1. Post! Once a day with 3 responses to others a day!

2. Journal! Every day and EVERYTHING!!!

3. Drink your water

4. Exercise! Everyday do something--even if you are just starting and
can only do 5 minures at a time--even 1 minute at a time!!!!Do
something and write it down and then keep adding to this as you are
able. Get that metabolism moving!

5. Find the right Food Plan for you and stick to it!

FOR THE BABY STEPS BACK TO BASICS PLAN, DO STEP 1 THE FIRST WEEK,
STEPS 1 & 2 THE SECOND WEEK, STEPS 1,2,&3 THE THIRD WEEK, STEPS
1,2,3,&4 THE FOURTH WEEK AND ALL THE STEPS THE FIFTH WEEK!

FOR THE ADVANCED BACK TO BASICS PLAN, MAKE YOURSELF A LIST OF THE 5
STEPS--POST IT ON YOUR FRIDGE--EACH DAY CHECK OFF THE STEPS AS YOU
COMPLETE THEM--COUNT EACH STEP AS ONE POINT AND TRY TO HAVE 35 POINTS
BY THE END OF EACH WEEK!

Sometimes we ALL need to just have a New Beginning!

FRUIT AND VEGGIE CHALLENGE

We should get 5 servings of fruit and/or veggies in a day. 1/2 cup =
one serving. Our goals are to try new foods and recipes also. We also
want to encourage each other each day.

Each serving up to 5 =5 points each

Getting in all 5 servings =10 points each day

Each new food tried = 5 points each

Emailing encouragement to your team each day = 10 points for the day

So, if you tried 5 new fruits/veggies in a day, getting in all your
servings in a day, and emailed your teammates you can get a grand
total of 70 points for the day.

BONUS POINTS----EACH MEMBER CAN RECEIVE 30 EXTRA POINTS FOR EACH DAY
THEY POST A NEW RECIPE FOR FRUITS/VEGGIES ON THE BOARD.

THAT GIVES YOU A CHANCE TO EARN 100 POINTS PER MEMBER FOR YOUR TEAM
EACH DAY!

Find your team mates on the list--and, DON'T FORGET TO EMAIL THE
LEADER WITH YOUR TOTAL POINTS EACH DAY!! DON'T MAKE THE LEADER GO
LOOKING FOR YOU!!

THE SPRING CLEANING CHALLENGE

The idea of this challenge is to get ya MOVING and a GROOVING...
AND Get that SPRING Cleaning done !!!!

Each team will be issued a big BUCKET, and they have to fill it with
WATER and BUBBLES.

For every 15 min of REGULAR CLEANING you do, you earn 1 BUBBLE.
For every 30 min of SPRING CLEANING you do, you EARN 2 BUBBLES.
(yes you  can take 1 BUBBLE for 15 min of SPRING CLEANING too)
For every 10 min of regular EXERCISE you do you EARN a cup of WATER.

It takes 10 cups of WATER to fill a BUCKET....and you have to have
atleast 15 BUBBLES in EACH BUCKET to have a FULL BUCKET...Before you
can start to fill up another BUCKET.
So on average, if each team member  cleaned 45 min/day-(30 min of
spring cleaning, and 15 min regular household cleaning),and
exercised 20 min a day that would fill a bucket.

I will give each TEAM MEMBER a FREE BUBBLE for EMAILLING their
TEAM MATES EACH DAY as well.<--Already a BONUS

DO NOT COUNT  CLEANING AS EXERCISE !!!

Lets see how many of those BUCKETS we can fill up with  WATER
and BUBBLES !!!!

Yard work  counts as SPRING CLEANING ...
so lets get CLEANING and EXERCISING !!!!

WATCH for EXTRA BONUSES as well...You never know when/where they will
pop up.

TEAM CAPTAINS are responsible for collecting their total WATER and
BUBBLE tallies for their team, and then POSTING the results on a DAILY
CHECK IN POST that I will put up...

Be sure to EMAIL and encorage each other.  Lets have some FUN with this
one !!!!

TOILET PAPER CAPER CHALLENGE

Lets see how many TOILET PAPER ROLLS  you can earn as a TEAM !!!!
 
Each oz of WATER you drink will represent 1 square of TOILET PAPER.
One cup of "Fresh" fruit and two cups of "Fresh" vegetables can
equal 20 ounces to your water goal.
 
It takes 200 squares of TOILET PAPER to make 1 ROLL.  So in order to
get a roll of TOILET PAPER.....you need to drink 200 oz of water, or
add in the fresh fruit and veggies appropriately.
 
Lets get DRINKING !!!!

FEET TOWARDS YOUR GOAL CHALLENGE

"Putting Feet Toward YOUR Goal"

It's here!!

The Challenge you've been asking for and waiting for!!

Time to put your FEET where your GOALS want to take you.

Did you think you could become FIT and HEALTHY just sitting on your
bum and looking at the computer screen!!

I don't think so!! lol

Ok..Here's how it works!

We will be assigned TEAMS!!!
(Yes TEAM LEADERS will be needed)

And then you will  list your goals.  We'll make ya list 'em on the
board so you will be accountable to US and YOURSELF.
We will have a GOALS LIST for you to fill out.
 
Then for everyday that you are ON TRACK and IN CONTROL....You get $25
of CYBER PLAY MONEY.
 
For the  2 weeks the challenge will run, you will have the opportunity
to save $350. 
 
BUT
 
The catch is that for every slip up...you LOSE $5 of the $25/daily
allowance of CYBER PLAY MONEY.  It will be put into a combined BLACK
POT on the board.
 
So if you didn't exericse on a PLANNED day you lose $5for THAT Day...
If you didn't stick to your eatting plan...You lose $5...No Journal...
LOSE $5...get the pic?
 
Then at the end of the challenge...you will have saved some CYBER PLAY
MONEY and you will be able to go fantasy shopping with items that WE
(Cee and I ) have chosen you to choose from.
 
Lets see which TEAM will have the most CYBER $$$ and the least amount
of BLACK POT $$$ at the end of 2 weeks.

Are you ready to work toward those GOALS, and have some FUN while
doing it?

Here's the deal...

You sign up here with your name/board name/email in the subject line
and watch for your turn in the SPOTLIGHT.

Then everyday I will choose a person randomly and you will have your
chance in the SPOTLIGHT.

For those new to the board...this is where we get to ask the
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT a question or 2 about them.  They can be silly
questions, or more get to know you questions.

Lets have some fun with this and get to know each

WEEKEND CHALLENGES

I  CHALLENGE YOU over the weekend....
 
I am CHALLENGING YOU over the WEEKEND to do something you haven't
done...either in a long time, or ever...
 
I am talking about exercise that is FUN, and heart pumping !!!!
 
When was the last time you jumped rope?
Or used a hula hoop? 
 
HMmmmmmmmmmmmm?
 
I was in the grocery store the other day and they had kids hula hoops
out in the  isles for sale, and they actually called them exercise
hoops !!!
 
Sooo..
I challenge YOU to do somwething you haven't done in yrs...
Now for those of you with bad knees, and can't do the jumping rope,
or the hoola for some reason...then find something you haven't done
since you were a kid, or a teen....and TRY IT !!!
 
Play hopscotch with your kids....soccer...ANYTHING thats different
from the usual.
 
Come on...
 
Who is with me? 
 
Who is going to  go back in time a bit and shake those tushies?

another weekend.
 
And ya know what else?
 
All those weekends add up to great weightloss weekends.
 
So don't let the weekend ruin what you worked hard all week to do.

OK Guys ...  It's time for a  WEEKEND CHALLENGE.
 
Alot of us seem to have a problem keeping it together for
the WEEKENDS.
 
So lets give this a try ...
 
This is going to focus on the eatting portion of your journey,
BUT it is going to have the concequences of the exercise part of
your journey as well.
 
This is how it will work ...
 
For every time you *cheat* off of your plan, you will add an EXTRA
10 min a day to your exercise session !!!
 
Yup ... Thats right ...  an EXTRA 10 min to your exercise for EVERY
time you CHEAT during the weekend.
 
So before you pop that chocolate or cookie into  your mouth ... or
take that EXTRA scoop of *whatever* at dinner time ...If it is
NOT IN YOUR PLAN, then you better be prepared to give me an
EXTRA 10 Min of whatever exercise you do.  Whether it be 10 more min
of walking/biking/stretching/exercise tapes/weights----WHATEVER !!!
 
So who will be BRAVE enuff to sign up for the task?
 
Who will be the STRONGEST LINK at the end of the weekend.
 
You can't lose here. ( Well ... maybe in pounds and inches )
 
No matter what the outcome of your weekend, you will either come
away with a perfect ON PLAN WEEKEND ... Or you will have gotten in
EXTRA EXERCISE.
 
So be BRAVE and take the challenge.  I look forward to Monday and
seeing how ya did.
