Journal Question of the Day....Imagine that you are at an age when you really were happy or really will be happy. How old are you and why are you happy? What more do you need?

I really have two answers for this question. Back in 1976 I was 30 years old....m

and all my family was still with me. I had never lost anyone really close ...immediate family....and I had a loving husband and 3 beautiful children. We didn't have much money, but we did okay. I was able to stay at home and dh worked some extra side jobs to keep us going. We had great friends that we spent all our summer vacations with..camping and dune buggying and life was good! I hadn't yet learned to hold on to those good moments because they can change in a second. The next year...our 1 1/2 yr. old son died and the world went dark for me. It took a long time to be happy again. Since then I have lost my Dad and Mom, several good friends including the woman we vacationed with, all my aunts and uncles, and my belief that things will always be the same.

So, I have to say I am really happiest right now...today and whatever more I need may or may not come along. I have my soul mate of 35 years, 2 beautiful daughters who are happy in their marriages, 5 wonderful grandchildren, good friens, terrific family members, and I have all of you to help me get that "what more do I need?..health and fitness!!

CL Diane
