Well, the question of the day was to tell about a day when you were very proud of yourself physically...This is a little off that mark, but on Feb. 12, l969 I became a mother for the first time. I was only 22 years old and dh &I had only been married for 10 months but ready or not here she came. I weighed 126 pounds when I got married...5" tall.....I gained over 80 pounds and broke 200 for the first time ever! I had long hair and red was the color of the day. I was wearing one of those ensembles with the strings holding it closed in the back and my face was red and blotchy from the effort. It didn't take long...I was at the hospital 1 1/2 hours and she was born. There were so many things I could say about the way I looked that day...but when they put that baby in my arms and said, "Here's your daughter!"....I was the most beautiful woman on the earth and nothing else mattered...and I knew this because I could see it in my dhs eyes as he looked at the two of us. He can still make me feel that way and I am much harder to fool now! lol
So, Happy Birthday! Gina Marie! We've come a long way!!
Quick update...Gina's pneumonia has settled down into bronchitis...her 2 year old has an ear infection, the 5 year old's foot is okay....and the world keeps going around!!
okay folks...grocery day again! I have apples, bananas, clementines, navel oranges, pears, avacado, and grapes....I am ready for this challenge! I have canned fruit, salad fixin's, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, onions, and carrots....frozen aspagas, peas, corn, &artichoke hearts....I am ready for this challenge!
