Hey everybody, I've got a question that makes you think and might help us ALL out! Answer the following question:

"What is the best advice you've got for someone who is trying to get healthy and/or lose weight?"

I'm going to be making everybody (myself included) think hard about this one!

My best advice would be:

Find something else to focus on apart from the scale. Buy a shirt that's too tight and try it on after 30 days of eating healthy and exercising. Keep a fitness diary or get a health checkup.

Losing weight is awesome...but it takes time. Other focuses seem to show up quicker than the goal weight and keep me in line

THE BEST advice i've got for you IS: NO DIETING!
Dieting is the worst thing you do to your body!

My best advice would be to start by breaking a bad habit related to eating -- whether it be late night snacking or having seconds, etc.

I learned that my overeating was very much a bad habit. At times, I know it's more complicated than that -- but on the other hand, when I approached it in this manner - IT WORKED!

My advice (from my mother):

Decide what you CAN eat. It's much better than focusing on what you can't eat.
