Again I am sorry I haven't posted for a while. I have been sooo busy with Kim getting ready to have the baby. But enough of that, now for my good news!! I went to the doctor last week and I have lost a total of 50 pounds!!

Well, after seeing doctor after doctor over the years, complaining that something was wrong and hearing drs say that my problem was my weight and I should just lose weight, I finally found a dr who listened. She diagnosed me with Insulin resistant diabetes. She put me on metformin. She also put me on meds for congestive heart failure, depression and thyroid disease. Now I have no more swelling in my legs, I feel so much better and FINALLY the weight is coming off. I took advice of everyone here a long long time ago and start eating healthier, no fried foods, limit my sugar and give myself a little treat now and then. It is all paying off now....FINALLY!!!

Congratulations on the weight loss and the changes! Isn't it frustrating when doctors pre-judge you and don't really listen to what you are telling them? I'd so happy for you that you found a doctor who listened and discovered the problem. I hope that this discovery and the changes you're making will lead you to better health.

Pam
