I had sent you an email a few days ago but hadn't heard back. I was wondering if you got it or not.
Just in case you didn't, here is what some of it said.....

I finally have some updated news about my surgery. My date is for October 15th!
On Oct 1st I have to start a liquid diet called Optifast. It cost me $200. I will be on it for 2 weeks then the surgery. It is meant to shrink the liver and lose some of the fat around the liver so it will be safer during surgery.
I am quite shocked at how fast this is happening. I will be glad to get it over with and on the road to my new life.
So I will go into the hospital on the Wednesday and be home on the Friday as long as all goes well.
I really like my surgeon,  he is very clear on the benefits as well as the risks and makes sure ou understand everything. I also had to take a mandatory gastric bypass nutrition class. It was 4 hours long. Brian and Theresa came with me so they will know what to expect through the different stages.
They are both quite worried but are ready to help me through this.
I have to get my protein powder and vitamins before hand and set up having vit B12 shots every couple weeks or learn how to do my own.

Dad seemed to think I was having lipo or something like that. He thought that I would be thin when I got out of the hospital.  When I told him I could lose 100 lbs in 6-8 mnts, he said "It takes that long?!"
lol

Anyways... that's it for now. (((((((Big Huggles)))))))))) Love you!

Darlene... I'm so excited to see you have decided to have surgery! I am 6 years post op, and even after having Kasey, I am still down over 100 pounds! I am struggling right now, as I didn't get to my goal weight before I got pregnant, and now it's getting harder! I was recently diagnosed with anemia, so be sure to keep up with your B12 shots and eat your protein first at each meal! I have found myself reverting back to old habits, and not the good ones... so I have committed to refocusing and getting things back to a place where I feel like I am the one in control...

If you have questions that I might be able to help you with, please let me know... you can email me at [email protected].

Best of luck to you! I'm sure you'll do great and you'll feel SO much better!
