For those that don't know me here's a summery...

Hi , I'm Vicki and I'm 52 years old.
I never would have believed I'd allow myself to get this large after a lifetime of struggling to keep my weight below 140 lbs.  In the early 80's I weighed 249-1/2 lbs. It took me 13 months and dieting to the extreme but I lost 105 lbs and kept it off plus more until I met and married my dh in 1996. Since then it's been a constant struggle. Three years ago I was 142 lbs but then menopause hit, plus I was in a bike accident that left me unable to exercise for months. And in that length of time I've regained almost every pound I fought all these years to lose and keep off. So now I'm working to lose it once again but in a healthier manner and hopefully along the way learn I can't eat like I used to. Everything has changed. Things that didn't use to bother me does now so I'm popping rolaids all the time.
I've begun to retain fluid badly so I have to make serious changes to my eating, especially salty foods. And I'm a real carb addict but have no intention of giving them up so I have to figure out a way where I can have the foods I enjoy but make sure it's much smaller amounts.
I'm going to take it slowly so that this time around it'll stick. I can use all the support I can get.
Vicki
