Like her father and mother, Debbie was moved to join Weight Watchers when she saw the success her sister was having. Now, 34.8 pounds lighter and feeling sexier than ever, she couldn't be more grateful!

"My sister Robyn was my inspiration for trying Weight Watchers' meetings," explains Debbie. Since joining in September 2000, this grateful sibling has lopped 34.8 pounds off her 5'5" frame. Twenty-seven-year old Debbie is now a shapely 126 pounds.

She has had lots of family help in her quest as her parents, also inspired by Robyn, are Weight Watchers meeting members as well. Debbie says, "I was thin my whole life. Suddenly, after college, weight started creeping on. Each summer I'd have to buy shorts a size larger. The problem to me was that 'diet' was a four-letter word."

Weight Watchers, of course, eliminated that problem, as it's more a lifestyle plan than a diet. Debbie says, "What made it work for me was being able to eat what I wanted. It's my choice whether it's more important to have a big dinner or to save my POINTS."

In the beginning Debbie chose to be ultra-strict. That meant rarely dining out with friends. She recalls, "I was afraid that I wouldn't stick to the plan if I was at a restaurant."

Time and experience have taught Debbie that a restaurant dinner won't ruin her progress. "I've learned its possible to socialize and not watch the calories as long as I get right back on the plan."

No woman is an island. Debbie stresses, "It's possible to succeed alone but it's so much easier with help. At meetings I get recipes, tips on how to handle myself at a wedding and so much more. And I have my built-in team with my parents and sister. They cheered me on when I got back into my old size-6 jeans."

Debbie's husband, although not on the plan, eggs his wife on as well. She says, "He tells me I have a different walk now, that when I enter a room I project an air of confidence."

She strutted into the room where the makeover shoot was held, too. "For the photo I wore this little red tank top dress. My dad, Philip, who was also a Success Story, was as proud of me as I was of him."
