I'm going through withdrawal symptoms right now, and it sucks.

I'm watching Trainspotting, that movie that's under Recommendations, and I'm already jonesing. I'm at the part where they wake up from fucking thier girlfriends or whatever, and whats his name had an "accident".  Anyway, just thought I'd say hi. Damn. I've got a lot of cash in the bank, and it's three thirty in the morning, and I know better than to watch these damn movies!!!  I fucking knew I shouldn't watch this, but I did it anyway. How the hell can I be almost a year clean?!?  I feel like I've been hiding out for a year, instead of living sober.  Well, anyway, just needed to talk to someone.  I miss having MSN Messenger, and when it comes to e-mailing people, I'm terrible about replying or even starting one. But I'm trying to remedy this.

Thanks For Listening,  jewel

Hey Jewel, just sit tight, Ms. Woman. Actually, I'm not sure that someone in your space should be sitting around alone watching junkie movies anyway. The first year or so that I was clean, I really had to stay away from stuff like that. It was just too powerful for me. ("Sid & Nancy" almost sent me out; just the scenes of them copping in NYC.) Anyway, as I'm sure you're learning, the best thing to do when you feel like that is NOTHING. And the feelings really do pass. (To return again another day, but that's the problem for another day.)

How are the felines. My guy bud is up in the loft trying to catch pigeons. I don't think he's snagged one yet, which is just as well 'cause he'd probably try to drag it down here to torture it to death. For cute little balls of fluff, cat's sure are fucking vicious. Just like some people I know.

Hugs, David

Jewel-----Even though I don't subscribe to total abstinence for myself , I am trying to live a somewhat responsable & sane life with the help of Methadone ( I don't always succeed but I always aspire)...But I also have a difficlt time viewing certain pix including Trainspotting....I just don't put myself through it anymore now that I'm aware of how it may effect me....Its quite simple for me these days..If something disturbs my serenity & can be avoided without running from LIFE , then I avoid it.....This approach may or may not work for you as well,,,,,Indigo

Oh my gosh I am reading the original post by Jewel....I'm thinking "Damn, Jewel don't watch that stuff during detox"...then I see a year clean......WHOA.....I used to do that too........"Oh yes I'll get Requiem For A Dream, and Trainspotting, and Basketball Diaries (Leonard played a lousy junkie wah, wah) not the real Jim Caroll, and Sid&Nancy, and of course Drugstore Cowboys"....happy detox.....I'd be like Renton pulling them boards off his door.....I advise against this for anyone........rent or purchase an entertaining flick or film.......not Moulon Rouge though....you'll get a headache, and worry for Toulousse LuTrec......the real one...poor little man of great talent.

Good look out Mackie......I liked this thread.....oh, and "Man With The Golden Arm" poor Sinatra.......he's jonesing, and sick, and Kim Novak locks him in the closet.....he yells a bit, and of course whines like we all have, and the next morning...
TADDAAAAAAA........she unlocks the closet, and he emerges all cured.....they walk off in the sunrise......bad thing about that is my mom thought that's how it goes, and into day three of me puking, screaming, and insomnia.....oh chicken skin, and sweats, and smelling like a rotten river of maggots...she goes hey this ain't what they showed in Man With The Golden Arm.
Pffffffffff..........like I wish that was how it is.

AIN'T THAT A BITCH? I GOT ONE MORE FOR YA"S.......AND THEY NAMED THREE STAMPS FER THE BAGS FROM THESE MOVIES......"FRANK LUCAS","BLUE MAGIC" OH AND THE TITLE "AMERICAN GANGSTER".
They were the bomb here in Paterson N.J.Which of course didn't last forever before falling off. Unlike DaBronx where a stamp's brand demand's a loyal following.
Paterson stamps change on a daily basis. The most you can hope for from the same pitcher is that what ever it is that he has at the time you visit is from the same person and place that the last stamps came from. There must be good reason for them to keep all their loyal customers guessing as to weather or not what they had gottton will be what they is gettin each time.(sic)
For sure if you got dope in yer house and you do any before or during the movie you sure will be doing before the credits is over. hahha
Sorry if my ramble isn't comprehensivable for ya'all, I tryed my best at the time, under adverse conditions.
Also want to say it's great to see ya'all. keep on keepin on.
peace respect.
dawg,
