So I heard how bad Wrestling Soicety X was and I said "Well, It's still a wrestling show so I'll give it a chance first"... Because believe it or not, I really do give things out side of the WWE a chance provided they're local or they have a TV deal in the US. I don't care enough to buy DVDs of every show like I'd have to to follow ROH, so until they get a TV deal I'm not bothering to follow them, but, I gave TNA it's fair shake, and I just did the same for Wrestling Society X. Big Mistake. For one, it's a half an hour show. For two, there's Zero story (because it's half an hour I assume). And for three, it's hardcore just to be hardcore. They used explosives and according to the sneak peak at the end of the first episode, paranahs are used in the next episode, yet none of it had a rhyme or reason. Plus they open the show with "These are extreme stunts performed by insane wrestlers..." The show's fucking stupid. I wanted to follow it just so I could watch Justin Creadible and X Pac, but fuck it. That's too terrible to sit through. I'd rather watch Hulk Hogan and John Cena headline a tag match against a broom and a mop, or watch Zack Gowen in an ass kicking contest, then watch that crap again. Shit, I'd rather watch a ten minute Kahli promo even. Wrestling Society X redefined terrible. |

I'll have to agree with you on this one man. It definitely was a half hour waste of my time. |

I enjoy some of the more fast paced wrestlers a la Teddy Hart, Jack Evans, and Matt Sydal. I miss the old days of WCW Cruiserweights and lucadors. |

I sat down to watch it this week, because well, I was bored and had heard some people say it was good, and some say it sucked, so thought I would find ou myself. With that being said, I think it's a terrible show. As Taylor pointed out, there is zero story, hell, there's zero pyschology. Not only is it hardcore for the sake of hardcore, it's spots for the sake of spots. There is no reason for some of their spots, no point behind some of their moves. They just do them to show they can do them. I don't care how many flips you can do, I want to see some story, some pyschology used in your matches. Some people may like the senseless spots, but for me, I give it two thumbs down. Official Rating: |
