+Living Life God's Way+ 11/13/2002 http://livinglifegodsway.com Straightway He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and walked in all the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or the left. 2 Kings 22:2 Paul Harvey began his radio career in 1933 at KVOO-AM, Tulsa, Oklahoma while he was still in high school. Today, his "News and Comment" and "The Rest of the Story" can be heard every Monday through Saturday. Paul Harvey News is the largest one-man network in the world, consisting of over 1200 radio stations, 400 Armed Forces Network stations that broadcast all over the world and 300 newspapers. Each day his alarm rings at 3:30 A.M. His routine never varies: brush teeth, shower, shave, get dressed, eat oatmeal, get into car and drive downtown. It all takes a well organized 45 minutes or so. He dresses formally - in shirt, coat and tie - as if going to work as the president of a bank, and in sharp contrast to the aggressively informal, sometimes slovenly manner common to many radio personalities. "It's all about discipline," Harvey says. "I could go to work in my pajamas, but long ago I got some advice from the engineer of my friend Billy Graham's radio show. If you don't use discipline in every area, you'll lose your edge." Do you want the Lord to use you? Be disciplined and don't turn to the right or the left! Today in prayer, ask the Lord that you may walk straightway with Him all the days of your life. It is safe to tell the pure in heart that they shall see God, for only the pure in heart want to. C.S. Lewis So be careful to do what the Lord your God commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. Walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
