A Loony Idea
These days, commercial space tours have become a reality. If you can
afford the tab and pass the physical, you can travel with NASA on a
space flight around the earth.
The German government wants to take this development a step further
and has funded the Omar Corporation to do the necessary research to
build a domed vacation resort on the moon.
Venture capital has been solicited throughout the world to fund the
construction of the resort to be ready for its grand opening by 2010.
The resort will cater to honeymoon couples and will have extensive
sports and entertainment facilities, as well as Las Vegas-style
casinos. It will be built on the near side of the moon so that
guests will always have a view of the earth. The cost for a one week
vacation is not known, but will certainly be expensive.
The Omar Corporation has already developed its advertising campaign
to promote the trips. The slogan will be "A trip to the moon on Das
Omar's wings �?Must fun on those flings."
