Hello everyone,

I noticed that someone in this blog used the term door greeter,
well folkes im here just to say we dont greet doors we greet people
so I would like for people everywere to use the proper word People
greeter cause I don't spend all night greetting a door that to me is insulting
and I feel the need to correct this:

thanks for your attention to this matter
Arcangel

I really don't think anyone means to insult anyone when they use Door Greeter.

No, it's not an insult, but it's not correct either.  I'm proud of being a dept mgr, and I would be annoyed if someone called me a dept worker.
I am careful to use the term people greeter, because they are our first and last impression on most of our customers.  Their job is hard and thankless.  I'm glad it's not my job!

getting too literal here, some old habits die hard. we still have some CSM's that call them door greeters.........merely cuz you stand at the door and greet as people come in. no need to get your knickers in a twist.

We call 'em cart pushers, but they push in "buggies."
